Don't lie... everyone knows the D30 is indestructible!

Especially with toothpick thin spindle making 1mm contact on the ring. Would be forced to drive in 4 lo just to roll down a hill.

The d30 is a bit weaker in the jk as the longer track width can give more leverage on bending the housing.. Actually saw someone selling one on wf, the passenger side tube was bent pretty bad. It would only be weaker though when there was a lot of leverage on that side.

At least Jeep pulled their head out if their ass on the d30 with the jk.. The tj having low pinion at the exact same time they were making xjs with high pinion

Honestly with the larger track width they should have gone to a real d44 stock.. Especially since you can fit bigger tires, it just invites disaster

I heard the axle was made with more wall thickness this year. Still needs the C's reinforced when going 35" +

Overkill is underrated.. I'd stick with the stock u joint size though, you want that to break before anything else

Just in regards to beefing up the axle. Won't replace shafts unless they break. That's when I'd upgrade. As much as I want 37's I don't think I will as I want to keep it driving like it does now on the road. So with that said... next year axle reinforced, gears and 35's. Maybe lockers eventually.

Lots of jeeps here in Moab! I just finished the convention and got tons of shwag and stickers. Some pics of some pretty cool jeeps. Haven't been in the dirt or rocks yet myself.
