They wouldn't have to know anyways. You play ball also so they wouldn't be suspicious. They may however question you buying different sizes of shoes or clothes though.

Winches are great but you should never be wheeling alone so there not nessasary.. A lift and tires if done at the same time can be effective.. But you can't ever go wrong with protecting things like your gas tank and oil pan.. I know not only is replacing a punctured oil pan a headache but it's not cheap either typically.. Spending 350 bucks or so once for a engine trans skid to protect that oil pan, is a no brainer..

I changed my mind. I don't wheel alone so I'll likely never buy a winch. Thought you had time to save for lift if you had tires on already and why I thought winch. If your leafs sag I'd ask nick what is the best and most cost effective way to get the best flex and clearance.

Btw, my skids aren't for cosmetic reasons... they allow me to drive home after banging on rocks.

i think its lift, and skids are always ok, i was more thinking like body armor when he said armor lol
