And don't say it can't be done because it very well can be done.
That'll be the more expensive route but there that's taking the whole "I built my own jeep" to a level that not many people have been on. Go for it

Definitely. Long process but well worth it.

Well I work at high country 4x4 and all we mainly work on are JK's and they are all cookie cutters. 3" lift, 35's, bumpers, and a warn winch.

I don't. They get hung up on everything when you have anything smaller than 37s on it.

I'd go with 9" rears if I built something up. But I would never need 40" tires.

I wouldn't even go D60 for the rear end haha...
There are other axles that are just as strong and won't get hung up.

I wouldn't be too worried about the 60 rear catching on stuff even with 35s, its just that there are other axles that are better choices so why bother? 9" is stronger than a 60 in almost every aspect, lots of aftermarket support and can be built over time while still being used in the rig.. the sterling 10.25 is far stronger and not a whole lot bigger.. and if you're getting into 40s the 14 bolt is an awesome axle, cheap and beef..

A friend and I went wheeling out rausch creek a year ago. One of his friends had a built rig with 60s on 37s. This thing was his baby, and he had a heck of alot of money in it. Better wheeler than all of us too. He had a hard time doing the trails my buddy was doing in his 4.5 inch lift on 35s jeep. Just getting hung up on everything man. Took him over 10 minutes for him to do a trail that we did in 5..... All you could hear was the rears scraping off or rocks lmao.

Maybe it was just the way he was driving it but ill never put 60s on my jeep.....

I never saw a 10.25 on a jeep. That there is a brutally strong rear. Too strong even for my F250. You break one of those apologize to your jeep because you were doing something you really shouldn't lol.
