its really difficult to pinpoint.. sounds like the front, but then if you're near the back it sounds like the back.. it doesnt really sound internal.. i pulled the oil pan to check the bottom end which still looks fine.. pulled the valve cover and all the rockers are tight, the push rods are snug..

my guesses right now are either something is wrong with the harmonic balancer, or its on the other end with the flywheel/plate that is bolted between the motor and transmission

Apparently cat scratches and bites are super dirty and can be infected so she wants me to get it double checked.

Sweetie, the chrome grill is just a cover. There should be some tabs that hold it to the factory grill. Just take a close look at it when you have a chance and see if you can locate them. If you do decide to remove the chrome, be aware that there may be scratches on the factory grill from slight movement. The scratches are not related to the fever you have from your run in with a rabid cat though, so no need to take the Jeep (mini van) to the doctor. hahahah. I agree with your boss, get it checked out; cat scratch fever is a real thing, not just a good song.

JK's don't have a chrome over lay. It's the actual grill and it's plastic.
