also to mention, i have 2 pistols in the house both loaded, a 9mm (not chambered)

and a .357 revolver (single action)

they are my last line of defense, i also have a tazer in each night stand, 2 stun guns in the kitchen area, many combat knifes, 2 sling shots, a Clamore on a trip wire in the back yard, many rubber bands and spit wades, a plethera of bad words, a pungi stick facing the bathroom door (this is my safe room, for my wife), smelly underware in the hallway, melted ice in the living room, a moat filled with pee in the spare bed room, used toilet paper on the walls in the living room, snot on the banister and 2 vicious Schnauzers that like ankles. so i think i am covered...

If you follow the rules of safety and you keep your firearm well maintained you won't have a problem.

Best name ever.

Yeah me neither. Bottom line is, human beings f*** up from time to time. All the training and all the safe habits just make you feel that much more stupid when you do. Thank God no one was hurt. The unforgivable, and inexcusable part is that the guy didn't have the sack/human decency to check and make sure everyone was ok.

This. Having a gun for home defense is pointless if you don't practice using it for that once in a lifetime moment when it can make the difference between life and death.

First always get the police reporte. 2nd i'm not shure where you live but in fla. if you and the guy agree to work things out and he doesn't pay than later you have to take him to court over this matter due to it is now a civil matter!!!!! if i was you get the report and call the states to see if they will take it to court, if not than talk to the guy and fill him out if he seems like he'll do the right thing than good if not than fill charges with the state. glad your ok and good luck with this.

I'm glad this thread got revived... I wasn't a member yet when it was posted. I seriously laughed my ass off reading through it. What I want to know is...did the OP ever get his seat covers paid for?
