My sons camping trip.

Well, my son decided to go camping with his buddies again, no big deal he does this all the time. He has always had full permission to use the old camp gear because being that age once I know what can happen "by accident" of coarse. BUTT! On this trip he wants to take all my new gear which I'm not happy about. He goes into this big long thing about "trust" and says I don't trust him with anything.......blah blah blah..... Anyway he get my wife involved and they gang up on me with this trust thing, so I say OK! take the new stuff. If you ruin or break anything you will replace it. He agrees to this fully. I know this won't happen because he never replaced anything he has broken before. Thats just the way it is and the way it will be between dads and sons for ever. So..........the son calls me today and says his car won't make it up to where they want to go and would like to borrow his mothers truck. Well Brenda is down in Fresno (1 hour away) shopping and has taken my jeep again. She just loves driving that thing. I think its the looks she gets that she likes, you know, hot blond in a good looking jeep. Its a attention getter. So I figure that staying in line with this trust issue I'm going to let him take her truck. He he he.... Well, I just got off the phone with her and guess what! (insert four letter words and other phrases here) She pissed!! She doesn't "trust" him with it. Too late!

You are an evil man.

I like it.

Hopefully all your camping gear comes back unharmed.

No its all good guys, I just don't like double standards. My wife gets it, I'll get the "I'm oughta kick your ass grin" from her, but thats it.

Ha! good one. My son always wanted to borrow my Chev' truck a few years ago, he had a nice car, it was a, umm....Caddilac Eldorado I think they are called.Well he wouldn't let me drive it so guess what? He never got my truck, whats good for him is good for Mum too. Now he wants to borrow the Jeep, but won't let me take the Harley, so he still doesn't use my vehicles. :

Completely!

Well everything is OK, the truck is back........the gear is back........nothing was harmed.
My issue is that when you get a group of teen age boys (men?) together stuff happens. Its never intentional, it just happens. I work hard for my stuff and replacing it (lately) is hard to do.
