NASCAR anyone?

so i was at the busch and the cup race this weekend in atlanta (actually hampton but they say atl). we had a blast. the seat for the cup race were awesome. high enough to see the whole track but not so high you couldnt see anything. saturday i hat pit and garage passes. took pics with bobby labonte and kasey kahne, shook hands with tony stewart. saw all the cars up close and personal, oh yea, i watched the race from about 3 feet behind the pit wall.

Lucky - Had a friend go to the Vegas race and had a VIP booth. All the food he wanted and free beers! I gues his mother in law is one of the head persons at a local Ford dealer and gets a set of tickets for the "company" booth every year.

Sounds like you all had a blast Dawg. I'm more partial to NHRA myself. Anyone can turn left all day at 175 mph. Takes a racer to do 0-330 in 4.5 seconds.

Was at the race in here a few weeks ago and if you haven't been you should. It's about the coolest sound on earth.

Nascar does have a couple of road courses... but you try making a turn at 190 in a dragster

I like nascar, but prefer the SCCA, LeMans, and Formula1 series better.

drag racin is only goin fast and straight, NASCAR is goin fast and bein able to turn. lol. it's alot harder than most people would think. its not just go fast, turn left.... i like it alot bettter than open wheel racin because after all "rubbin is racin". too bad the newer generation of drivers is scared to bump eachother. martin would won the daytona 500 if he'd bumped harvick or put him in the wall. stewart coulda won yesterday if he woulda spun out johnson (which he had multiple chances). back in the day dale sr, bobby allison, richard petty, DW, all of them guys would put you in the wall, spun you round or pumpd you in the side without thinkin twice. these days guys are too scared

Its because of all the rules and regulations and the fear of getting points taken away.

Watchin' 'em race is fine, but I like what I can do myself. Wheelin' my Jeep is where it's at !

Any race is fine. I'll watch 'em all. The adreneline rush is just as good from motorcycle to dirtbike to monster truck to rock crawler to nascar to grand prix to nhra, "et al". Gotta love racin' !

We live about 10 minutes from the Texas Motor speedway and I use to go every year to the opener. Was great, because my employer was the sole owner of a Bush class car at that time and got box seats when they ran. I actually prefer NHRA drags over circle track.
