Never seen before Jeeping pictures!

I have posted this on a few boards, but figured you guys would be interested in these photos as well...

My Great Grandfather was a member of the first ever Incorporated Jeep Club, the Yakima Ridgerunners, Inc.. He was also a very avid photographer and would take pictures, and even film, of everything he possibly could throughout his life. Luckily this also includes lots and lots of photos/film that include Jeeps!

We just recently started going through some of the film and photos (and there is tons of it) and started to covert it over to digital. It's very time consuming since all the slides have to be cleaned up because of scratches and what not, but we are slowly trying to get it all converted. And converting the film over to digital is expensive since we have to send it out, and just a 9min film cost around $40 to convert. We are currently looking into purchasing a machine to do the film conversions ourselves...

Thank you for sharing, makes me think of my Dad and his old photos from being in the service. They look like they're having a great time!

What I find amazing is that the bond among Jeepers was right from the very beginning!

Those pictures and videos are absolutely amazing. They really do show the jeep thing to the fullest. One of the coolest parts is it goes to show a stock jeep with a good driver can go through almost anything and go to almost anywheres. Really great stuff thanks for sharing.

Nice! Bet all those guys were vets and were reliving the glory days with there club. I remember growing up it seemed like every dad was a ww2 or Korea vet and they all had skills and could fix or solve any mechanical problem.

I know I've posted this before, but it fits here again. I found this video on jpmagazine.com. Much to my surprise the guy driving the Jeep without the shirt at about the 1:02 point is my Dad! the vid is right after the short ad.

Gotta say that along with the photos, I also really enjoyed watching the Yakima Ridge Runners all having such a great time in their Jeeps.. Kind of a flashback for me on how things and Jeeps looked when I was a kid - Thanks so much for sharing!

Whats amazing is that they did all that without monster tires, lift kits, Differential mods, suspension disconnects, fuel injection, big engines, or any of the other gizmos and gadgets we demand.

I guess there is some value to skill and patience.
