New Jeep!!

Just purchased a'13 rubicon! Love it so far but took it on a road trip to Oklahoma and only got 14.8 mpg, any suggestions on improving that besides slowing down.

sorry but slowing down is your best bet, keep it under 70, if you can keep it at 65 you'll see even better mpg.

I've also found that that the AC kills about 2 mpg vs windows up and no AC on road trips. windows down kills about 1 mpg.

only other trick is to draft behind a big truck, our mpg is so bad because of the lack of aerodynamics in the body of the Jeep.

also, if you're wondering, premium fuel wont help.

very nice jeep. you've got the steel bumpers, rockers, 4.10 gears, mud terrains and a hard top. with all the goodies the 10a offers, don't expect to get better mpg

Think yours is bad, I got the AEV factory mod, at 75 on interstate I get about 10mpg. I'm on 35's tho with a little lower ratio.
