New Model Jeep

I read an article recently that Jeep is putting out a new vehicle based on the Fiat 500 base. Anyone heard or seen anything about this?

I'm not sure. It would be pretty small if it were a new XJ. I would say the Liberty or Patriot is a fit for that market. This could be a new version of the old style Liberty based on the size.

Well, not necessarily. The article called it a Jeepette...so maybe a Wrangler but in a Sami, Tracker, or Amigo sized.

Heard that the only car to retain its Jeep architecture will be the Wrangler.

New vehicles will be based off the new CUSW (Compact U.S. Wide) platform that debuted under the 2013 Dart at this year's Detroit auto show. Those underpinnings are actually an enlarged version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

This was confirmed by my saleman when I purchaed my Dart. It will be interesting to see the Jeep version. I can tell you from my own experience, the Dart is a good ride.
