That twin R1 powered Mini was just sick.

It is just the sensor and tone ring. I don't have the Megajolt built yet nor have I made it to the wrecking yard for the Ford coil pack and control module.

I had to pull everything out to put in the water pump so I figured I might as well put those bits in while it was apart. It saves on labor.

I got started on the Megajolt module assembly tonight. I'm really hating this old soldering iron I've got. I can't get good clean joints with it. I think I'm going to pick up a new one tomorrow.

Tonight's progress...

Dang. I did some more looking at the engine mount. There is a bracket that comes in from underneath too that is also borked. It is part of the firewall and the brake line goes through it. Looks like this is going to be a bigger project than I thought and I haven't been set up to do any welding since I moved.

I decided I'm not going to mess around with trying to make the parts to fix the engine mount. I ordered new ones last night.

Yes. It's loads of fun for me.

Ya the car was red from the factory, then someone painted it blue, and then later it was painted black. One day it will get stripped to the bare steel and the whole thing will be done up in black. And it will be done properly too.

Is that stuff adhesive on one side or do you have to glue it down?
