new wrangler

Hi I'm 16 years old from new York and my parents just got me my dream car: gecko green wrangler sport... I love it so much, but so many people have been scaring me telling me how dangerous it is.. people say they flip really easily, they failed the side impact test at only 30 MPH and they easily catch fire when rear ended because the gas tank isn't well protected.. any input?

Although I was happy that my dad provided me a car when I turned 16 way back when, it was only a $300 Chevy Chevette.
YOur JK tank is more to the side with the muffler in the rear. Thanks to modern media, every car is a death trap that fails safety standards for one reason or another. Just be a good driver, obay the law, and have fun. Learn what it is capable of stock so you'll appreciate your future modifications that much more.

For those not old enough to know what a Chevette is. Mine was red and had "Little Red Chevette" permanently cooked into the back glass from where shoe polish stayed on too long.

Lesson one, it's a Jeep not a car!! Welcome to your new addiction.

For the haters: would you rather roll an suv with? Or without a roll cage?

Would you rather have 4X4 Jeep dependability and awesomeness or just some Chevy/Ford/Dodge 4X4 that you can only roll down the windows?

Would you rather be the envy of many and have the great support network that comes with communities such as this one, or just have your mundane run of the mill Toyota?

Their comments and remarks are jealousy my friend.

Strange. Most teenagers think they are invincible.

Also negativity from others is usually jealousy.
