Smile No Jeep, what would you drive??

Let's say that Jeep doesn't exist in the automotive world and we had to decide on a different vehicle to purchase, what would it be?? Don't have to be specific with the year if you prefer, just make and model will work. My choice would be;

Subaru Outback L.L Bean Edition

Realistically, I would get a Land Rover. Otherwise I would drive a 440 Superbird.

to me jeep's have always been just a way into wheeling so, I'd probably be wheeling a solid axle toy (4 runner or truck), sami, Xterra or my dream is some sort of corn binder (IH)

Well, stretching a bit, if Jeeps weren't around (or their originators...) WWII would have ended differently and I would be driving a VW bug like everyone else....

More realistically a 72 Blazer with the top off... gotta have the top off.

I was split between a Jeep, a Mustang, a Camaro, and a Mits. Lancer Evolution MR. I wanted something that would turn heads and I have always been a sports car but I need a vehicle that can carry a lot and with 4wheel drive. So, with the being faster than a Lambo in the corners factor and pretty much matched in a strait line with the Ford and Chevy it was soon down to the EVO and then there was the Jeep. After test driving them both (a few times just for fun with the EVO) I came to my senses and decided a vehicle that can (with mods) look like its going to eat the cars around it and still haul my stuff around was more important than beating countless cars off the light.

Jeeps will turn more heads than any of them & I'm sorry but the evo would get blistered in a straight line by both the other cars. They're quick off the line but you can forget it once the muscle gets some traction... In stock trim anyway.

Regardless you made a great choice with the Jeep!

The camaro wont take the Evo in the quarter mile its almost a dead heat between the two. Know if yer talkin the Z-L1 its a different story. Any car that can mop up on a lambo on a track is awesome in my book. With that being said, ill take the Z-L1 over anything right now

Maybe they're faster now than they were. Had no problems with ones that were close to stock in my basically stock WS6. Haven't kept up with the evo in the last year or 2 though. If you want something that's the best of both worlds get a used Z06. Not many cars in the world that'll out gun it.... Only problem with that bad boy is traction! I have a friend with a Gallardo & it's fast but once a Z06 gets rolling its over with. A used one will probably be next for me once my Rubi is paid for.. Gotta keep it.

My Jeep is a second car that serves a specific purpose (4WD, high clearance) so if I had to replace it I would get something else with those qualities. Before getting a Jeep I looked a Land Rovers, but they're too unreliable. So probably an FJ or something. But the car I'm saving my pennies to replace my daily driver with is a Porsche Cayman.
