If there's any doubt about a tat, needle shouldn't touch skin regardless. I just got a second and still love my first which I'm having worked on and hopefully finished in the next few weeks. I wouldn't remove either of them especially since both were chosen to mark a milestone in my life.....

that said though.... new type of ink, pretty cool.

Of course but you never know when you might want something off that was my point. Wonder if this kind of ink will become popular?

I'll wait until they have copy and paste options for tats.

And a delete button.

But really, as cool as the ink sounds, isn't the point of a tat that it's forever? If it's not, you might as well get yourself a nice set of sharpies and talented friend.

I could of sworn them being permanent if you did want to remove/alter it was more of a downfall/deciding factor then the point?

If I did get one I think i'll go with this type of ink if it looks the same when and "IF" my mind does change so I dont have to get a huge loan to get it removed.

Ghost Art is the coolest if you can find an excellent artist that will still do it.

Anybody remember the movie "Skin Deep" with John Ridder? (if so, you know the scene I'm thinking of)

I actual have about 10 tats total, along with two unfinished half sleeves . They are a part of me and what I have molded myself into over the years. This new ink sounds like another angle to get more of the unsure or scared crowd over to get tats. I remember a while ago they were going to introduce ink with novacain (Sp? long day) in it so the tat didn't hurt. Defeated the purpose IMO because the rush you get after the tat is done is immense. I sat in the chair for 8 hours on one of mine and was weak kneed for a few hours afterwards. Endorphines and adrenaline do wonders on the system.

My opinion on this new ink. If you are unsure don't get inked.

Couldn't agree more!

If the person isn't sure about getting a tat, they should stick with the temporary tats.

Not saying that you should get tats willy nilly but that doesn't stop people from doing it now does it?

Makes me think of the joke about the lady getting a tat of a bike across her chest...good amount of years down the road the bike has changed a bit. Im sure everyone has heard it.

Something that may mean a lot to you now may not mean a lot to you years down the road as well.

Guy I went to high school with on a bet got a giant squirrel on his back. The artist who did it must have been laughing all the way to the bank. The thing took up almost his whole back...

I've never heard that joke, Lev, how's it go?

I know you're not saying that people should get tats willy nilly. The tech behind the new ink is cool. It just sounds like it'd turn getting a tat into something like the people who buy wranglers because they're cool or cute, but wouldn't be caught dead off road or giving a jeep wave. Or like when they made divorces easier to get so people started getting married willy nilly because, "hey, if it doesn't work out, we can always get a divorce."

Some things are worth taking your time and making a commitment, imho.

So, Smeghead, what's your tat going to be?

I have a tat and still love it! It's represents a huge part of my life, and the reason I am who I am. Soon I'll be getting another, that represents everything I live for. Good or bad, tattoos become a part of you. And if you regret them then you regret your past. In that case you should have been more careful about your life decisions, not the way you decorate your skin.

But awesome idea regardless!

This is a pretty cool fact, I love all my tats, I have about 10. My right arm is half sleeved, right shoulder has a small tat, Left arm has two tats, left leg has two tats. I have been having my tats done for about 16 years now and I am not stopping. I have about 4 more planned, there are certain areas that need some attention.

Wish I knew what ours really looked like iv done research on it and was going to customize a new one based on what the net says the Hicks crest looks like.

I have the Hicks crest. I'll make you a copy.

I was going to get a tat for my 21st but I'm really into Henna so I like the idea of actually being able to change out what I want. I have a feeling that 50 years down the road I may not like what I do now so I'm not going to take the chance. I can't see myself at 80 with Egyptian symbols all over my body.
