Obama's stunt

Those of you who serve will hopefully agree with this logic, but a commanding officer is responsible for the actions of his subordinates and thus responsiable for the panic in New York with this "photo op" stunt in NYC. Further research discovered just in flight time, our bill was over $325,000, not counting revenue loss of building evacuations and so forth....

NOW... If our wonderful government had bought a "top shelf" 8 core Mac and a copy of photoshop the total bill would be under $12,000 saving panic among thousands and over $300,000

By the same logic, all someone had to do was send this link How to Prepare a Broomstick for Hobby Horse: How to Make a Hobby Horse: Kid's Toys | eHow.com
to our former president and we could have saved eight years of round trip Air Force One flightswhen he wanted to pretend to be a cowboy

Unless Obama is jumping in the SUV to drive home when he want's, that really doesn't fit into this theme, he flies home too. Bush didn't have AF1 and fighters buzzing the tower. "That's a negative, the pattern is full."

Ok, maybe not the best example, but by the same logic pointed out above, wouldnt Bush hold a fair share od responsibility for stuff like this Officer: Ex-GI wanted to shoot civilians - Military- msnbc.com

Yes, thatís a bad analogy because you donít need an airplane (or a car) to rape an Iraqi girl. And for Godís sake stop wearing blue jeans so George Will will calm down.

My point, which I failed to be clear about, was this...if the commander is responsible for the actions of his subordinates, then if this photo/plane issue is "Obama's stunt" because his underlings were responsible for it, then why isnt the article i linked before called "Bush's snafu" for also being perpetrated by someone lower down in his chain of command?

Had the same conversation with my friend yesterday. The cost of fuel alone just to take those stupid pictures!

Obama was supposedly pretty pissed about when he learned about it. Hope it's true.

It’s the liberal media. They blew the story about the soldier all out of proportion and used it to smear Bush, but hardly mentioned this incident with the flyover photo. In reality Bush was not responsible as commander in chief because, as a born again, he is immediately forgiven for anything any subordinate does. Obama, on the other hand, is a secret God hating Muslim that is laughing at this very moment as his evil plot to destroy America with swine flu unfnords.
