Actually I don't have cravings to often anymore. No need for smokes here. I can taste food again.

In fact I am cooking some BBQ Ribs for the fam tonight, with a side of sliced hot peppers cooked in cheese sauce. OC is baking fresh dinner rolls.

Oh yeah and I started loosing weight to boot. Ain't life grand.

The only bad thing about quitting is the fact that it was MUCH easier than I had expected. What I mean by that is if I'd known it would have been this easy I would have done it years ago.

To answer your question - I'm doing great! Thank you for asking!!!

Hehe, no I know what he means. I never really tried to quit before (usually just gave in the first or second day) because people said how hard it was, and how horrible it is, and how long it takes to get over it.

First 4 days sucks sure, but I was still able to go to work etc. After the 7 th day, the cravings were down to once or twice a day.. Few months later now and I might have 1 craving a week.

If I had known it was like this before I would have quit years ago. Quitting smoking isnt easy, no, but its DEFFINATLY doable if you really want to quit. Anyone who really wants to and cant, either doesnt really want to quit and they are lying, or they are an extremely weak person

Well, addiction is different for everyone. I don't think it means you are weak, just that the addiction is worse.

I'm proud of all of you guys! Especially you, Skeeter. Knowing we'll have more years together, because you quit smoking, means more to me than I can ever say.

NO...I'm weak. I have tried quitting snuff dozens of times and haven't even had a little bit of success. Maybe I'm weak or somewhere deep inside I don't really want to quit. I have been just going with weak.

lol Give yourself a little credit though, addiction to the chemicals in cigarettes etc, cause your brain to play funny tricks on you. Similar to when you are hungry, you would eventually eat things you wouldn't normally eat in order to survive. That is what your brain is telling you when you are addicted to something. You need it to survive. Willpower will only do so much. That is why many people have to be hospitalized to detox themselves from Alcohol. Trying to quit can kill them. Luckily, smoking is easier to kick than alcohol in most cases.
