Offroad mini popup tent

Saw this in a magazine the other day.
Has anyone seen any of these up close, if so what did you think of them, or does anyone know an equivelant to it. I usually wouldn't even consider paying that much for anything to camp with but I have a phobia of snakes due to a very large rattlesnake that nailed my leg while I was asleep in my tent on a Offroading and camping trip in Montana.

I have only seen them on the internet, as you have. But if one was accustomed to sleeping on the ground, in a pup tent, this would certainly be a step up. If I were to camp in a tent, and have been bitten by a rattle snake, this would be a minimal cost, for my well being. You do understand that this is pure humor, and in no way is intended to make light of your past situation. If I could talk the wife into something like this, I would jump on it. As it is, I have to drag around a very large 5th wheel camper, just to make her happy.

Yep, NO worries I dont take much serious unless needed. Life is way to short. Actually I tend to make fun of myself when I get around snakes, I about trampled a guy at the zoo when I was looking in a cage thinking there was a lizard in it, (the cage was unmarked) and a python moved out of the corner of my eye. The funny thing is I'm 6'1" and about 230 lbs Imagine that sight. ROFL

As far as the tent, I was seriously considering it, I also found one made in Australia made of diamond plate aluminum(Sweet looking rig with an articulated yolk). But i figured the shipping cost would be as much as the popup.
