Unhappy Oficially depressed

I went to the eye doc today. After the exam he said "welcome to the 40's" Of course. I'm 41, and now have reading glasses. 1.25 power. Blows big time. I've been having headaches and blurred vision lately. I'm in front of a computer all day (and all night thanks to you turds) and he said that is causing a lot of strain as they try to focus on reading or computer screen and then when I look away. But, he did say I have great eyesight for my age. Oh well What's next I wonder??? Maybe I can get some Viagra.

Damn bro, I'm sorry to hear that. I thought turning 35 was bad. I guess you really do go down hill when 40 rolls around.

Let me know if you have a hard time reading this.

Hmmm, maybe in order to be member friendly we should make font size a variable of age?

Stop whining, I've had to wear corrective lenses since I was 12. Imagine coming into the 6th grade one day with glasses. The horror.

Enjoy your aging. When you don't feel like reading it yourself, "excuse me, can you read this out loud for me ? I don't have my glasses".
"What did you say ?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't hear you."
"I can't help you lift that.....my arthritis you know....".

Don't worry glasses aren't that bad,a little advice if you wind up getting bifocals(like me at 45) get the ones with lines instead of the no line, mine drive me crazy. Wait till somebody offers you the senior discount at 47. I'd rather pay full price any day

Maybe you need to add "senior discount" too, for all the boomers.

It was the metal in the eyes. I got a chunk in my eye they had to drill out, it improved my vision.

I guess us young kids don't have to worry about that for a few years. Maybe by the time I get that old, laser surgery will be improved.

LOL yep, doc kept trying to tell me not to blink, I'd be really impressed if anybody can go through that without flinching. It didn't hurt much but man it was hard not to punch n run.
