Ok way of topic....do you believe in ghosts? Pictue!!

Ok guys and gals, a friend of mine and my girlfriend were working on a jigsaw puzzle last Thursday, while I was hanging towel racks in my master bath. I heard an awful lot of commotion from the kitchen, both Alex and Dana swore that four pieces of the puzzle put themselves together and chased Dana's hand off the table. I'm 1/8 Cherokee and totally believe in spirits and the afterlife. I cursed the ghost calling it many names and telling it if it wants to haunt me it needs to make itself known, I told it to show me it's face, otherwise it doesn't EXSIST and I can't help it find the afterlife it seeks(I can't anyway but it sounded good at the time). Well the next day a friend of Dana's stopped by and took our picture with her new phone, when she got back to her house she sen us the picture and asked....."WTF is that above Kevin's head?" I then told her the story and said that is a evil little spirit that needs to go away. Now, the woman is not capable of photoshopping this image no one she knows is and she hadn't heard about the puzzle. This is an actual photo of a spirit. They do EXSIST, as I was skeptical just because I had never seen one. I do not doubt the supernatural anymore nor will I curse it. I simply asked it to leave and was very stern with it but polite. We haven't herd from it since. Anyway, I can take your abuse or I can understand any experience you may have had......but this is true and real and I wanted to share with my fellow jeepers!!!!
Please enjoy......and dont be too hateful if your a non-believer......
Thanks,
Kevin

No I am not crazy I'm NutZ? But still that is a True story and a real spirit. I even stopped by the local palm reader. She wigged on it, but she wanted 500$ to get rid of it. I said I'll take my chances first.....I mean if I were a palm reader wanting credibility, I would have ran here just to do it.....ya know?

Oh, I'm right there with you. I've got stories...

We have a little girl in the house who shows herself to my husband and sons, but I've never seen her. I know they aren't kidding me, either. She's about six years old and wears a white dress. My husband had talked about her and even though I've always believed in ghosts and spirits, I was skeptical about his story. We were in our family room one evening, and he turned around to get something and he was startled. The hair on his arms went up and he went a little pale - you can't pretend that. Even years ago we used to see shadows off to the side, children playing when we'd watch tv at night. We've seen the shadows pass in front of the house, back and forth across the windows, my 14-y-o regularly sees one when he gets home from school - a teenage-sized shadow. I've asked the little girl to show herself to me, but the closest I've come is unexplained noises in the hall in the middle of the night, around 2:00. I just sat up, turned on the light and said, "Not in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep, honey." Noise stopped. No one fears them.

However... One night near Halloween, I was alone in the house and went to the basement to get a Coke. About half-way to the fridge, it just felt wrong. The room just felt wrong - there's no other way to describe it. I left the Coke idea and ran upstairs, locked the basement door (as if that was going to help). Freaked out, but stayed home. At 2:17AM (not forgetting that time) I heard a huge crash, heck if I'm going to look for the source of it. I went to the basement in the morning to find a 1 1/2-inch-thick tempered glass desk smashed on the floor. There wasn't enough weight on the desk for it to break on its own, and nothing had been above it. Go ahead and tell me that nothing was wrong. I still get that "wrong" feeling sometimes, but no one else does.

Did I mention that I live about five miles away from the Manassas battlefield? I've got more stories, but I'll cut it there.

Would love to help but dont believe in spirits, ghouls or goblins...and NO i dont really belive in a Zombie outbreak....but of all the items listed Zombies are the coolest... my wife believes in ghosts, so i made her watch a show called FACT or FAKED. its a show that finds the truth behind all unexplained entities. There was a similiar picture like this one that they investigated and found that through trials any kind plexiglasscan distort the light spectrum enough to create this "ghost like" apperance on the film.. best way to confirm it is repeat the pic..time of day..camera, film, etc...

I suppose I believe "ghosts" do exist, but I've never had any really convincing experiences.
Scientifically speaking, our bodies operate on electrical impulses. Any amateur scientist knows that electricity doesn't just disappear into non-existence, it dissipates. "New" energy is not created, it's a constant give and take of existing energy. So, it stands to reason that the essence of every living animal that has ever lived and died is all around us, even part of us, all the time. Spiritually speaking, I have a hard time believing that our consciousness simply ceases to be when we die. The understanding of energy also fuels many cultures' beliefs on the afterlife. I think the Native Americans nailed the understanding of energy, long before anyone else.
So in my mind, it's impossible for spirits/ghosts/energies to NOT exist.

The closest thing I've ever had were the ghost cats in our house. I had a black and white cat who was 19 years old when we finally had her put down. She was in the same house her whole life, so it makes sense I suppose that she would come back. I used to "see her" out of the corner of my eye, or the periphery of my vision. The image appears to my mind to be cat sized, and black. My wife says she has seen her, too. Being a science dork, I felt this is entirely possible since I'm one of those people who can see fluorescent lights flicker, and is really affected by low refresh rates on monitors, stuff like that. In other words, eyes more sensitive to light fluctuations than most. The most convincing incident for me was a few years ago. I was sitting on the couch, watching the tube, with my feet up on the coffee table. I saw what I believed to be the cat, then almost immediately after, I felt the sensation of a cool breath and then a cat rubbing it's cheek on my bare calf. This was definitely something she did on a regular basis. Oddly enough, this was the last time either of us has seen her.

Take from that what you will.

Oh I ran, but I kept the light on until I got to the top of the steps and was ready to close the door! Another freaky part is that my labs will spontaneously growl or bark at absolutely nothing while focusing on the same place, as if they see something.

Another incident was at the farm where I ride. We have acreage with a cemetery on it, some graves dating back to the Civil War. There are actually more unmarked graves outside of the cemetery than there are marked graves inside. The same family owned the land going way back, and had slaves. My husband was there by himself one night and was headed into the barn when he heard a man clearly call his name. He turned around and saw a quick vision of an old man in a uniform...and then gone. Freaked him out.

when i lived in England, my grandmother lived in a thatched cottage that was about 400 years old. when we stayed there, every now and then . you would smell perfume go past the livingroom and up the staires. and no one was wearing any perfume. my grandmother said it was a lady that died in the house over 400 years ago

Thinking about this some more, I'd like to share my experience of touring Eastern State Penitentiary in Philly.

My wife and I took an unguided tour of the prison in the summer some years ago. We wanted to wander, and get a real feel for the place. It was a really great experience, and I'd love to go again. What we noticed, among other things, are random cold spots. You would walk into and out of them in the course of a few steps. Yeah, it's a drafty, concrete building, but I mean these were literal COLD spots, on a warm day.
We also encountered a few places that felt different than the others. It's that "oppressive" feeling the paranormal buffs talk about. A noticeable change in the atmosphere, localized in a single room. Could it just have been coincidence, or totally in your head, since it is a prison? Sure, you could argue that. But that's the thing with these paranormal occurrences, you could find explanations both for and against ANYTHING. In the end, it's up to what you choose to accept.

That's exactly what I mean when I say that it just felt "wrong." Not threatening or evil, just negative and agitated. I don't ever feel that way out at the farm with the cemeteries and graves - it's actually kind of peaceful.

well i believe,,,, on the night i asked my wife to marry me,( she said yes ) well after we finished dinner we went back to her house to give the good news to her mother ( dad had passed years ago ) well i stood with my back to the kitchen counter with the stove to my right. ( i had no idea that the front burner was broken and stayed hot all the time) well it was an electric stove and i went to place my hand on it,, it was then that i felt a very strong grip on my wrist, it was warm and cold all at the same time... my hand was redirected away from the hot burner... it was then that i looked over and saw my wifes dead farther exit the kitchen,,,,, remember this took all of 3 seconds.. yeah i believe.

Many of you (probably most) have never heard of this but, my mother was "born with a veil". Growing up my home was like the afterlife grand central station. Every member of my family has had at least one encounter. When I first moved back from San Francisco, I lived with my parents until I could find a place of my own. My daughter who was 3 at the time started naming them.

I have had at least 2 in the house where I now live. One was a young (4-5 year old) boy. He was noisy, but not annoying. I had a dream about him. His name was Joey and he was looking for his Mom. The next evening I went into the room that he was most often heard in. I called him by name and told him that his Mom was waiting for him and it was time to go. We have never heard from him since.

I've never witnessed anything myself...but I know enough people personally that have. I've also seen photos from a very good friend of mine who used to be big in paranormal investigations. Photos of apparitions and such (I just don't find orbs very convincing).

I definitely believe...I also believe in angels and such.

Two stories:

First one, a ghost story... my mom's best friend from highschool adopted a son from another country. He was young...3 or 4 I think. Her dad didn't live nearby and was always so excited for the time he'd be able to meet his new grandson. Unfortunately, shortly before he was supposed to meet him, he passed away. Later that night, she was walking to her room and heard her son talking to somebody. She walked into his room and nobody was there--her son was alone. She asked who he was talking to and he said, "Grandpa...he said he wanted to meet me so he came to see me." She explained that Grandpa couldn't have because he'd passed away earlier that day. He insisted that it was Grandpa. So she went and got a picture of him...and sure enough, her son who had never seen him before pointed at him and said, "That's who I was talking to!" Apparently, her dad made it a point to go meet him before he moved on to heaven, the afterlife, the other side, or wherever we end up.

The second story is what I believe is an angel encounter... for those who don't know, I lost my mom to cancer at the age of 16. She went downhill fast...battling it for about a year or so before she just couldn't fight it any longer. One night when she was battling cancer, my dad felt like somebody was in their bedroom...he was half asleep but had a lot on his mind worrying about my mom and stuff...you know how you get that feeling that someone is standing over you? That's the kind of feeling he had. My parents bedroom was upstairs and clear across the house from my brother and I's bedrooms. He opened his eyes and found a really pretty woman standing over the foot of his bed...wearing all white I believe. She never spoke...just smiled...and for some reason he was speechless and all he could do was lay there looking at her confused.

Then she took her hands and flipped them like she was flipping dirt off a rug and a huge burst of air poofed in his face and then she turned and walked out of the bedroom and started walking down the hallway. From where my dad's spot was in bed, he could look out and see clear down the hallway. The woman disappeared into thin about halfway down the hall. That was the only time he ever saw her. He think she was there to reassure him that everything was going to be OK, but to this day, we really aren't sure what her purpose was.

Never seen a ghost and hope that I never do but I am a believer. About 15 years ago I did have an encounter with something that made me a believer, I was deer hunting about 25 miles north of my house in a river bottom and had gotten lost, it was getting late in the afternoon and I had been wandering around for over 3 hours and was give out. I kept going around in circles and kept coming up on an old oak that was twisted and deformed and each time I came up to this tree I would take off in a different direction, I guess it must have been about the fourth time that I walked up to that old mangled tree is when I heard someone or something speak my name very clear, scared me, nobody else was around and I'm miles away from anywhere. I did not imagine this, it happened. Well after I come to my senses I took off in the direction my name was spoken and found my way back to my truck in a very short time. To this day I firmly believe that one of my ancestors called my name. This property that I was hunting on belongs to a timber company now but my family had owned over 3000 acres here dating back to the 1850's and the last acreage was sold about 12 years ago. My families cemetary is on this very property with 5 generations buried here dating back to my Great,Great,Great Grandparents. Kind of makes you wonder don't it? I still tell this story every once in a while to my family and friends and I guess I'll never forget the feeling of being so spooked while being in the woods. After it happened I didn't hunt up there but just a few more times, always felt like somebody was watching me, and I just couldn't shake that uneasy feeling. My Great Grandaddy, My Grandaddy, several Great Uncles and other relatives were killed on this property back in the prohibition days as they were all bootleggers back in the day, lot of blood was shed on that land.

Well palm reader said that was my guardian angle where as this banshee looking bitch representing my evil side and she said she could tell a lot was bother me and my spirit seemed torn? Well she was right I won't go into though. I look at it as my evil side taking off for a while? I hope so anyway......

And it was a digital camera no film trickery, the lady took two pictures with out moving, it was in one and not the other, must be a fast little devil! Haha

I could have photoshopped it but swear on the bible that it is not fake. What you see is real and I believe it is a one in 10,000,000 photo? Ya know, it was amazing that I told it to show itself and the next photo it did.....simply amazing. I asked it to leave and it did, unfortunately as I don't have many friends? maybe ill ask it back for puzzle time?

Another strange encounter that S3nt3nc3d's post brought to mind.
My Sister was in her last days after a tremendous and heroic battle with breast cancer. My Mom had been staying in my sister's home watching over her so that her husband could continue to work. On the morning of the 4th of July, my Mom opened the patio door to let the dog go outside and a white butterfly came into the house. It flew
directly to and landed on my sister's bed. Within seconds she passed away with the butterly there on her pillow. The butterfly flew away and although no one saw it exit the house, we never found it.
