Thinking about MAYBE getting this then adding a lift and 37's. Opinions about this Jeep? Color, etc.

Note: I'm open to repainting but not sure about the hard top color with anything besides this khaki...

Not sure what you're looking for, it's hard to tell much from a picture. The color is cool, and the front bumper too. Does it suit your wants/needs better than the jeep you have or anything else out there in the same price range?

I was looking at a TJ like that one but figured I could afford $100 more a month for a 13 Jk

So far it's the best option. I'm still in the process of looking though.

Get what you want. Don't settle. A friend pointed out that its better to wait if need be or just pay a little more in order to be happy. Some say that your jeep finds you. Test drive then imagine if you could see yourself driving it in a few years. TJ's seem to have cheaper after market parts and you can change anything to how you want.

What's the mileage and price. They are going for $15-17k here.

Looks good, Looks to be in better shape than my Tj when I bought mine. Color looks good to me, but it all about your preference. Be sure to check the frame (especially near the rear axle) for any rust :-)

if you want to go straight to 37s, then i would consider finding a rubicon, as the D44s under it will handle 37s much better than a D30/35 combo that is most likely under that tj. either way, to run 37s, you are looking at a very large amount of cash to get it to run right

44k for just under $18k. Of course ill tey to get that down a bit. :-)

About a year ago, I bought my son a TJ. I payed around $12,500 for a 2003 soft top auto sport model, it had around 45,000 miles on it.
If you haven't driven a JK, I suggest you at least test drive one. Can you drive a manual? On a JK 2007-2010 a manual is a much better option. 2012 and newer has a more powerful engine and a better auto transmission.
If you are dead set on a TJ get a Rubicon, stock. Wheel it, break it, build it.

I love my LJ. I would look for a LJ (unlimited) Rubicon for it has the upgreaded equipment like D44 axles, 4:1 transfer case and Lockers already. 37's on stock D30/D35's with the TJ are Known to Bend easly. The Lj with the longer wheel base is way more stable at high way speed and Off road as well. THe auto trader add you were looking at seems to good to be true for the price that is advertised. make sure you do a Carfax on anything you buy that is used. Good Luck.
