My heart is with all of you who have lost dear freinds, I guess we can celebrate that they are all together in Heaven running and barking and having some fun, or perhaps they have reincarnated, and are helping somebody else cope with lonelyness and making them happy !!!!!
God Bless all those hairy pals, our Dogs !!!!
I parted company with my best friend recently due to a Divorce... I can only echo what others have said, and restate that someone like yourself, so possessed of love for your dog, certainly provided a life rich in affection and comfort.. That the life he left behind was a good one... I'm sure you did as much to enrich his existence, as he did yours
I was in the Old US NAVY myself, AT2, 87-94, Memphis, NAS Oceana, CVN-71 Theodore Roosevelt, AIMD 600 Div.
Learned a lot from them, am what I am thanks to them, thanks Senior Chief !!!
I was TAD to the clinic onboard Oceana before going to FMSS (84).... It was all Tomcats and Indruders then... Not a lot of Corpsmen to hang out with, so a lot of my friends at the time were Airdales ... Know the E-club there well..
SCPO, there ( Oceana Clinic ) was a person I know that perhaps you knew, Dr. Rudy Ruiz. He was a civilian Dr. there, good fellow, we became good friends. I hope you ever got to meet him, awesome guy.
Base was pretty and nice, I lived there, but was attached ( SEA Op DET ) to the Roosevelt for 5 years. I love Oceana, great place. My brother was also in the Navy in Little Creek, USS Saginaw.
Nice meeting you Chief !!!
