Out of the mouths of babes...

Quick story:

A few days ago, I was pulling up to my in-laws' house with my wife and four year-old daughter in the Jeep. Instead of making a four-point turn to park on the street in front of their house, I simply swung the Jeep around and went half up onto the curb before dropping back down to line the tires up perfectly.

Wife (in a nagging voice): "Seriously? Why did you have to do that? Why didn't you just turn around like a normal person?"

Me: "I --" (interrupted)

4yr old daughter from the back seat: "That's just how a Jeep does it, Mommy. It's a Jeep thing."

Needless to say, it was easily the proudest moment of my life as a Dad (so far)! She just said it so matter-of-factly, as if it was the world's most obvious truth, and that Mommy was silly for not knowing it. My wife responded by glaring at me and simply shaking her head, but I had a huge smile plastered on my face for the rest of the day!

Does anyone else have a good story involving their Little Jeepers?

My daughter (7) isn't into it that much but my son (3) points out every single jeep he sees! Usually followed by: "I wan dat one mommy" his favorite remote control car is a jeep and he has 3 to choose from. And he collects matchbox size jeeps which he puts in their own special jeep box. And when we work on it he "helps" I love it.

Awesome! I literally laughed out loud! My 2.5 y/o calls the wife's Highlander a car but mine is always "Daddy's Jeep!"

Awesome! I'm pretty much convinced that our little Jeepers love our jeeps more than we do, which says a lot!

My 6yo points out every Jeep she sees and asks if its a T jeep or a C jeep. She hasn't figured out the Jks yet....and my 2yo sleeps with a Jeep hot wheel. If its not in her crib she asks us "where's Jeep"?

Gotta teach em young!

Excellent! Mine is about to get five or six new Jeep tips for Christmas, so the programming will continue as planned!

Do you know about the world of "power wheels" yet? I bought my daughter a Barbie Jeep and then starting searching some info on them. There is an entire underworld dedicated to these things.
I actually have two used ones. One of them is getting the 18v upgrade next year with better traction.
Also, in case you didn't know yet, the Jeeps come preset with it on low gear only. You then can remove one screw from the shifter and it gives them high gear. My daughter had a smile ear to ear when she hit the 'gas' pedal that day...

He wore this one out. Bought my youngest daughter a pink Lamborghini...she rarely drove it, instead she wanted to ride in the Jeep with him.

Mods for power Wheels!!!! We can't just leave Jeeps stock can we? LOL (BTW: It was a pin on the one in the pic. Same reaction when he hit the gas.)

paleh0rse....what did she think of the power wheels Jeep? If she has half the fun with it as my son had with his, it will be a great purchase! As I said before...he completely wore his out.

She hasn't taken it outside yet, but she is soooooo excited to take it out. In fact, we're going out with it in five minutes.

I've also already done the "screw mod," so she'll be going as fast as this little thing can go at this point.

Seriously, Power Wheel mods? Can someone link me (in PM if necessary) to somewhere I can learn about these mods? My computer is down right now and I don't feel like googling on the iPhone.

Got my daughter the Barbie Jeep, too. She flipped when she saw it. "Daddy, a Jeep! A Jeep!!!" My son is slightly jealous, I may have to find him a bigger one pretty soon. He's a big boy, so finding one that he'll fit in seems difficult. But I am slightly limited as to what I can buy locally and I really hate buying online (that's gonna be fun when I start modding my own Jeep).

Ya, that's my next mod for my daughter's. You take 12" bmx tires, cross-cut the sidewalls and slide them over the Jeep rear wheels for better traction.
Gotta love Youtube for these mods also. Just type in Powerwheels.

I just did the same thing. I didn't see much about the Barbie Jeep, but what I did see was interesting.
