Outer Banks, NC

How many of you east coast guys have been to the Outer Banks?
It's THE best place to combine summer vacation and wheeling on the beach!

If you have been there let's see the pics!!!

(Since I've only had my Jeep for 2 weeks all my off-road pics are Range Rovers and Discovery pics, sooo I won't bore you guys with that!)

Ocracoke island for me every year. Been going there with the family for about 7 years now and love it more than any beach so far. Taken the jeep there 3 times and love the beach wheelin. Ill have to find some pics, I know I have some just not accessable right this moment.

But for those of you who don't go to ocracoke, stay away because it is my little secret and it is getting way too crowded already.

I've been to Hatteras pre-Jeep and had the Jeep up in Carova in August (pics in my profile). Carova's neat because there's not only the beach, but all the trails back through the houses. Plus the wild horses. I'll have to post some pics later.

We have vacationed on the 4whd only section of the beach north of Corolla for 4 years. Go to the end of the road and lower the air in your tires and head 9 miles up the beach for a great vacation. I have seen every make of SUV imaginable stuck in the sand.....except of a Jeep. That's why it's a Jeep.

Pics - Carova

As promised, some of my favorites from Carova. Probably going to stay in Corolla this year, wife, 2 kids, and 3 dogs are a bit much for 6 1/2 hours in the Jeep.

On the beach:

Yup.....ill have to admit even my jeep has been sunk in the outer banks sand. The good thing about getting stuck on the beach is the fact that all ya need is a shovel to get out...but the only reason I did get stuck was because I had left it in 2wd after doing some driftin on the packed sand and when I went to drive away from the loose sand all I did was spin.......

haha good times, still havnt got all the sand outta the jeep from that either
