Paging Joe from Quadratec...

Anybody heard from Joe and Quadratec in a while? I think we have a backlog of order requests (including mine). My gift certificate is buring a hole in my pocket. Come on Joe, let me get that winch ordered!!!!

Joe is no longer with Qtec.

You may try the Qtec sticky for some progress though.
The new guy likely checks in there more often than a random JK thread.

Quadratec Free & Discounted Shipping for Forum Members

And the free shipping via Google Shopping method is once again working. You can try that route perhaps.

Yeah I did that and PM'd they just like they requested. No big deal on the delay but I would think they'd be all over these PM's since I'm sure a lot of folks got money or gift certificates they want to use at Quadratec. If I leave my Christmas money sitting in my checking account too long it might just find a way to vanish before I can use it for the winch

Last time I PM'd QTec it took long enough for a reply that I gave up and placed the order myself and ate the shipping.

If anyone gets a reply, please reply to this thread because there is something I want to order where shipping is about $60 for what seems to be no good reason.

Can we just call them and request the free shipping over the phone? Or is that something they need to pre-approve? Also the winch I want to order has a $20 extra weight charge. Hoping they can remove or at least lower that.

I guess they don't monitor the PM board since Joe is gone. The new process it to call Q-tech and let them know you are a member of the forum and give them your screen name (as well as real name and address). They will give you free shipping. I've done this a couple of times lately.

Not sure about the extra weight charge.

I've ordered twice this week via phone. Just mention you are a forum member and presto! Free shipping! On heavy items like a winch, you do pay the ups weight surcharge which for me was 20$. But that beats shipping plus that surcharge! Have at it!

I just called in an order, unfortunately they missed an item and free shipping the first time. Second time I called they got it fixed, but now on the website it only shows one item and the shipping and price is right.

This is what they used to do and it worked great. Also, through Google. Then, you could only pm Joe to get it. Now Joe's apparantly gone so back to the original method that worked for years until they screwed with it. Thanks QT for going back to basics and having the "old" method of getting free shipping that works. No more waiting 3-4 days or more for someone to pm back. What a wonderful thing.

I pm'd them many times and sent emails about shipping international and still havent heard back shit service, which is unusual as I have brought directly of there site and got stuff quickly to aus before.
I put it done to there international area being lazy when its not a simple tranaction.

I was just thinking about making a post for those that didn't know about just calling your order in! I was waiting on a PM for a few days, no big deal with the holidays but thought why not just try and call and see what they say. Presto, free shipping, no problems!

Maybe we can add that to the sticky that all you need to do is call with your WF screen name and ask for the discount?

Send a message via Yahoo to jdambm
I thought Kahdir was the go to guy for pricematching and free shipping from Quadratec.

Why would a reputable company make you jump hoops for shipping subsidized by other consumers?

Seems conceptually wrong to me. If you want to offer free shipping, do it. If not, don't. Send out an email to people who have ordered offering it, or make a limited promotion on your site. But call in and tell us what non-binding club you belong to and we may give it? Seems a bit amatuer to me.

Alright folks, this post has served it's purpose.

The word is now out that Joe is no longer the Quadratec representative for the Wrangler Forum. For those people wishing to get free shipping from the Quadratec Company they have 2 options:
  1. Google shopping.
  2. Call the Q-tech toll free number and tell them you are a member of this forum and give them your user name.
If any one has problems with Quadratec, they need to contact them directly and not in a public forum.

As far as making this a stickey as suggested, that is up to Quadratec if they want to let it be widely known .
