PANDORA- God's gift?

so I been messing around w/ Pandora on my laptop for a year or so, and then I finally broke down and got me a smartphone w/unlimited internet and stuff. also just ordered a new Sony headunit with bluetooth (plus all new speaks,) so I'll be able to stream it directly through the new jeep system wirelessly.

anyway, the point of this thread is that I know there's a lot of music threads floating around on there, and I can relate to a little bit in each of them, but if you want to re-connect with some old favorites, or just expand your musical horizons, pandora's about the coolest thing I've seen.

For example, as I have hit my mid-30s (ugh) I have begun to trade in the angst-inspired alt rock of the 90s and early 00s for more good-time, fast-paced southern rock, outlaw country, and such. Jeep music, in other words.

I can't deal with this synthesized autotune GARBAGE that passes for music nowadays. And it's infected nearly all genres of music. you can't hardly turn on the radio to any station without hearing that screeching crap anymore. Pandora has really allowed me to expand my library w/o buying and carrying 100s of CDs. And the best part? it's free...

Only thing I hate about Pandora is they only allow you to skip songs a few times an hour. Besides that, its good. I figured out a way to skip songs as many times as you want...Open a new channel then go back to the one your listening to...just keep repeating/skipping.

Pandora is great! I also like using you tube and vevo to play songs on request. I add them to my favorites and they're there anytime I want to listen to them..

The worst part I have found with Pandora, is if you dont pay for a subscription with them, you are only alotted 40 hours of music a month. To get around this, rather than paying, I have 3 accounts through pandora...without it, I dont think I could get through my work week lol

My favorite Pandora channel is " Eagles Radio " A few thumbs down at first, now I can listen for hours!

yeah, there are a few hiccups, but I have noticed that the mobile pandora app is much more friendly to skipping songs and listening time allotment. at least on Droid.
also, I don't know what's up with their "the Black Keys" station...you can listen to it for hours and hear 1, maybe 2 BK songs per hour. But if you listen to the "Raconteurs" station, you'll hear a Black Keys song every 15 minutes. Whatever, it's free and gives me hours of entertainment.
