paranormal activity: have you experienced any?

So with Halloween only two weeks away, and me living in the area of the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. I have to ask. Has anyone here ever experienced any paranormal activity?

I was working on a house on a sunday nite. I know I know sunday working well it happens. I run a construction company. So while I was working every door was shut/LOCKED and I come around the corner to the door being open. Some may think oh you left it cracked slightly. The issue was this house had a alarm. Every door and window was pressure activated. It didn't make a sound. Yes I went home for the night right after I shut the door. I have had weird things happen at the flip house i am in now. Lights being on when I get home that were not on when I left.

Ehh stuff happens lol. I am the type of guy that can walk thru a pitch black corn field and not have a care in the world.

I agree 100%. I have had the same things happen in the house I live in now. At least until my mom freaked so bad she had a priest bless the house. Nothing cool has happened since. Kinda sucks, I thought it was fun having spooky stuff happening.

haha yea. If there is a light on when I get home that I didn't turn on before I left I say out loud what your afraid of the dark lol. I dunno it is hard to believe and it is not. I have driven down some dark roads going back out to the house in socal (79 south past 74 going to warner springs). I have my mustang and it is setup for road race and it took twisties really well. I had a 2 lights on my butt for like 5 miles swerving trying to pass so I would slow down it would too. Speed up the lights would not move then all of a sudden after a turn the road goes straight for a mile or 2 by the airstrip and I just let loose then all of a sudden on that straight flat road the lights were gone. Women walking down the road middle of the night in a gown she turned and looked at me as I approached her in the mustang all I saw were her eyes. I umm dropped back into third gear and left in a heart beat. I have a ton more too.

My Mother was born with a veil. (Some of you will understand that) We moved into our brand new home which had a flight of stairs just off the den that led to the lower level. We would hear someone walking up the stairs at all hours, open the door and no one was there. My nephew was spending the weekend and was sleeping downstairs. He was awakened by something and when he opened his eyes he saw a confederate soldier on the stairway. He could tell by the grey uniform with the stripes up the leg. He never stayed with us again. My Dad had bypass surgery when my daughter was 5 years old. She saw a black figure in his bedroom on several occasions after he returned from the hospital. She named the figure Crisper. My Mother was at a party where they had brought in a palm reader. She decided it would be fun to have her palm read. The lady took her hand, rolled her hand in a fist and said "You Know Better". I have lived with creepy stuff like this my whole life.

When I was 18 I was engaged to be married, I was visiting friends and at about 2:30 in the morning I woke up from a sound sleep in a panic attack, I knew something was wrong. I found out the next morning that my fiance had been out with friends and had been killed by a drunk driver.

When we bought this house we had no real decorations, I tore a bunch of pages out of a calender and hung em on the walls for some temporary decoration. With all the windows and doors closed they would blow off the walls. We would also see the image of a woman in the window to the laundry room periodically. When our daughter was very young, before she could talk, she was terrified of water, we were watching some show on TV about a small boat in a storm and she freaked out. One day I got the idea to teach her to swim in our jacuzzi. We had the heat turned way down during the summer. At one point she slipped and dunked her head and when she came up, clear as a bell she yelled out "what are you trying to do, drown me?" My jaw hit the deck and Amy came running out of the kitchen and verified that she heard it too.
She also used to talk to her "friends" up by the ceiling, she would hold long drawn out one sided conversations with them.

well its not exactly paranormal activity, but we made this kid thikn it was. guy i went to high school with was a real sleeze bag. no one really liked him, but he was filthy rich, so we kept him around from time to time. one night we were all comming back from some horror movie, not sure what though. and he was freaking a lil, not to much, just enough to be funny. so we all get back to my buds house and notice he left his car unlocked. so that night we kept moving his car around, noting major just a lil bit from place to place, and we kept sending him out to get stuff from either my car, or his, or m other buddys. so after bout the 5th time we moved it, he flipped and ran home.
probly not the nicest thing to do, but he definatly deserved it after some of the stuff he pulled.

the only time i can think of were i personally experienced what i think was paranormal activity was at my cousins funeral. every one was sitting/ standing around the grave sit as the priest said a few words and we all paid our respects, and all of a sudden my aunts car alarm goes off. we all decided that it was his last hurrah, he was a big joker always trying to get attention and make people laugh

When I was little, my family moved into a really old "plantation" house. It was really creepy. One day, I went up stairs to get a doll. I heard a noise behind me and turned around but no one was there. It was almost time for my brothers to get home from school so, I thought it was one of them playing a trick on me. Then I heard the noise behind me again, inside the room. Again, I turned to see nothing. When I heard the noise again, this time in the hall between me and "safety" I bolted and never went up stairs alone again.

Even though there were several bedrooms upstairs, my folks had my brothers and I share the "den", just off the livingroom, downstairs. They slept in what would have been the parlor. They always said it was because it would cost too much to heat the upstairs. 30 years later, my Mom admitted it was really because they were afraid to have us kids upstairs.
Their room was on the front of the house looking out on the front porch. Often, at night, they would wake up to the sound of someone walking around on the porch, like boot steps. They'd look out but there would be no one there.
The bathroom was all the way at the back of the house, through the kitchen, next to the door that lead out to the "backroom". It was like a wood shed but attached to the house. In the backroom, there were ladder like stairs that lead to several layers of attic(?). They may have been servant's rooms back in the day, I don't know. Anyway, my brothers and I would all head to the bathroom together, at night, because the backroom was just plain scary. No matter how many flashlights you had, it was always dark, except for about 2 feet around the light. It was also always really cold, even in the hottest part of the summer. We stayed in that house less than a year because it even scared my folks and my folks don't believe in "silly mumbo jumbo".

Skeeter has already told you about some of our interesting things but there is one more that he's not as familiar with. When I was pregnant with our first child, Skeeter was driving longhaul. When I was about 3 months along, I started hearing a knocking sound, in my bedroom, at night. It started about 2am and went on for about 30 minutes, almost every night. Needless to say, it freaked me out. I'd turn on the light to see nothing. The sound came from a spot about a foot off the floor, in the southwest corner of the room. Skeeter was gone most of the time and, when he was home he'd be so tired he'd sleep through anything, so he didn't hear it. After a while, I got used to it and it didn't scare me anymore. This kept up for most of the rest of the pregnancy then stopped just before our daughter was born. I didn't hear it again until I was around 3 months into my next pregnancy. The knocking stopped just before our son was born. He is now 8 years old and I haven't heard the knocking since.

Yes, as have my mother, my grandmother, and my great grandmother - but having just found out my great great grandmother died in Byberry, it might be that we're just all a little off.
