I work for a high-end retailer known for their incredible customer service, and while it's my job to go above and beyond for every customer, I'm kind of making a sport of it. A few days ago a little girl with a skinned knee was in my department. It was a fresh wound and she was mildly irritated, but thought a band-aid would make the world right again. She really didn't need one, but I went to Customer Service and got one, and gently applied it to her knee. Her face lit up and her mom gave me that grin that knew I served her daughter's heart and not her knee - and the thanks for giving her a little more quiet time to shop because I told the little girl to sit very still on the stool until I got back. It was fun.

Too Funny

A few months ago the husband of a lady we run on quite frequently suffered a major heart attack and was flown to a hospital that is a couple hours away by car. They are both retired and have no additional money. While he was in the hospital we ran her one evening. It was her typical event but in addition she was very upset about not being able to go see her husband due to the gas cost. We took her to the local hospital. After we cleared we went to the main station to restock the rescue. On the way back I stopped by the atm and withdrew $40. I told my partner I forgot something at the hospital and went back by. As I walk into the ER I hear her crying to an RN about not getting to see her very ill husband. The RN walks out and I walk in. I give her the $40 and tell her to go see her husband. One week later he passed. We ran her a couple days after he passed. When she saw me she started crying and thanked me for allowing her to see him one last time and that they were married 42yrs. My crew mates (4) had no idea what she was talking about as I had not told them. After the call was finished my partner asked me what she was talking about. I told him. I couldn't have slept right the night she was upset if I hadn't helped when I could.

I gave some lady 10 dollars at the curb store to help
feed her 2 small children she had in the backseat of her car.
They were crying like they were hungry, She claimed she was
broke and they had not eaten since the day before,I hope she did the right
thing and fed the kids,

Man, I can't even think of anything good I've done. I'm a mean selfish person.

I stopped at the batting cages yesterday on my lunch break and took a few swings to let off a little steam. I bought ten tokens and started to get a little sweaty with the heat so I stopped and gave my last 3 tokens to a mother with 3 young boys who had been there the whole time. The mom said thanks and told the boys to thank me, I said they were welcome and started to walk away when the last little boy said, "what the hell only one each", I had to just shake my head and walk away

Made my mom and dad dinner tonight after working, when I had a lot to do this evening(including putting the doors on and the top up; rain tomorrow ). Spending the time with them for me and my son is more important. (still went grocery shopping, got the Jeep closed up, did some laundrey) and I am ready for bed!...but not before I get a little FORUM in!

Wow. It's amazing how much a kind gesture can mean to someone

Someone from the local battered women's group came by my shop today, asking for donations (giving banana nut bread) and I donated 5.00 bucks.

few days ago i bought a woman who was living out of her car a big mac a large order of fries and a lager cup of water.. she looked misrable.. had a bad leg and was out in 105 heat with a sign that said 'Food would be greatly appricated"
She had nobody and i stoped to see if i could get her anything

i helped one guy whos truck was going out on him cause of the fuel pump
I followed him all the way to his house where his son came out and gave me money for my trouble. I told him I dont want the money
he pushed it into my hand and walked away

I stoped on the side of I 24 to help some one change her tire cause she had hit some road debris and blown the tire
I got it all changed out she tried to give me money I put it back in her hand and told her keep it im not in this for the cash i do it because its what i like to do

ive also towed a few cars with my jeep
both of them had trans and clutch issuse
one was a junker where both the trans and clutch failed out locking up the truck
the other was just trans fail and i towed them to a shop to get it fixed

the only time ill take money from someone that i helped out is if im doing work for em
i had one woman who came into the walgreens i used to work at and her serp belt had gone out and i spent 4 hours getting it fixed so she could drive it home
her bf kept trying to give me money and i kept telling her to translate that im not in it for the cash
