People parking like idiots.

So today went to the post office and someone had parked some mitsubishi suv halfway into the second spot, the only spot left.

I guess this makes me a bad person too, but my tj is unmodified and still fits in relatively tight spots, so i crammed it in there so as to block their driver door, while still fitting inside the lines and giving plenty space between me and the courteous driver in the next spot. Besides, tj has bed liner down the sides and plastic flares, what can their door do that won't damage it too?

Next I watched in amusement as this lady tried in vain to open her door and climb inside. Didn't work, she had to wait for me to get back out to my jeep and drive away so she could get in her car. She did not look happy, but i refrained from laughing until i was out of sight. I suppose she could have gotten in from the passenger side, obviously a lot of room over there, but she wasn't smart enough to figure that out apparently.

I know I am just as bad for doing that, but I couldn't help myself, and maybe she learned a little life lesson about parking like that in the process.

If you are going to park like an (expletive omitted), do it right so nobody can still fit in one of the spaces.

Awesome! I do the same thing, but I've never had the pleasure of the person owning the vehicle being around.

I also say Great Job! I am so tired of people that do not take consideration for others around them. Keep up the good work. I myself have done this, but like cmoens, have never had the pleasure of seeing the other driver.

Hey, if you parked within the lines it's her own damn fault she couldn't get back in. She's lucky you weren't gone for hours.

I am assuming that you were not there to see when that other driver parked her car.

Now there are 2 choices here.
1.) She might be an arse-wipe for parking like she did; or

2.) There might have been another car on the other side of her that could have been parked a liitle too much in her lane. So, she parked stupidly, then while she was inside of the Post Office, that other car left. Then, before YOU pulled up, another car pulled correctly into the spot that was just vacated. Then you pull up, see her car, & assume that she did that just to be mean.

Unless you actually saw the circumstances when she parked, then we just don't know.

While I enjoy what you did. I can see a reason why she may have parked like that. I have parked off center because the car next to me was out of the lines so it made me off center.
Just saying there was a chance she parked poorly just to get in a spot without parking right up against the car next to her, like you did.

Granted, this very well could have been the case. But it was the last spot left so i did it anyway.

Should have snuck a quick pic like krisbman.

Yeah, and i woulda also. I dont give peeps the benefit of the doubt anymore. People park like A-holes because they think they can. You shoulda heard all the jackholes excuses for parking the way he did next to me.

Yeah this lady didn't even say anything to me, just gave me mean looks.

Besides, even if the person before you parked crooked doesn't mean you need to do it too and mess up the whole row. Just park in the next space and break the cycle of stupidity. In this case i parked straight in the lines to mess with them because i am just a troll like that by nature. But partly so the person that parks next to me later doesn't have to deal with my vehicle being double parked.

either way they deserved a little reality check in my mind.

what I hate of ppl parking

Man,

If you saw the amount of cars taking 2, that's right 2 spaces so nobody dings their 'old clunkers' or whatever japanese brand cars. It gets on my nerves since that's a parking spot that could have been used for somebody else than satisfying their car vanity.

And this is on the mall, supermarket, you name it. Wish there were a police car around to ticket them, but mysteriously they never get caught. If I was bold, I would decorated a racing stripe on their trophy but don't want to be caught on any problems myself.

I drive a fairly large vehicle and ALWAYS park at the far reaches of a parking lot where there are lots of open spaces. I can use the exercise anyway.

I keep to one space, but can anyone explain why some asshat always parks on top of me in the BFE area of the lot when there are 100 spaces open around me?

I had one park like KhrisBman's photo just yesterday. Literally twenty open spaces around.

Maybe I should be flattered that someone wants to be up my butt so much. . . .

Dunno man. Don't really care if the jeep gets a door bump. But when i used to drive my Fairlane I would always park way at the back of the lot too. Doesn't seem to matter, someone still parks next to you. One time was completely random, I come back out and there is (newer 90's models, all black) a mustang, a camaro, and a firebird parked in the spaces next to it, but no other vehicles in any of the spaces surrounding.

I wouldn't exactly consider my Fairlane a muscle car, but i guess like vehicles like to park next to each other. Sort of like when you get back to the parking lot and your jeep has at least 1 other jeep parked next to it.

Just weird i guess. i gave up trying to park where others wouldn't park next to me years ago. Now i just park wherever a spot pops up, and if it happens to be next to an idiot like i first mentioned, I am going to troll them. And amuse myself watching them try to get back in their car.
