Pocket Knife

What's everyone carry? and Comments good, bad, or other
I'm looking to replace the one I have right now. Its a Benchmade H&K tanto (partially serrated) blade almost 8 inches. I've had it for 12+ years. Been looking at a few SpyderCo's and Benchmades.

Got me a Kershaw Ken Onion series. I love it. I've had it for about 5 years. No complaints.

I had this and lost it. It's a good knife. I carry a Kershaw. I like the spring loaded blade. I've carried it for about two years and it's still sharp.

Damn Tiny, I can only imagine where you carry all of those. Were you thinking, damn all my pockets are empty because I own a jeep, lets fill each one with some kind of knife?

I like the switchblade by the way.

I usually bring a Smith & Wesson Spec Ops to work. It used to be my brothers; its a kinda cheap knife but its a good memory of him every time I use it. But no complaints.

SOG Spec Elite I

It is amazing in every way possible. SOG rated the arch lock at 1100 ft.lbs. before it would break. It is brilliant with an easy open.

For 5 years or so I carried the CRKT M16-13Z

after multiple attempts at a sharpen it was time to retire it to fishing tackle status. The metal CRKT uses is horrible. It won't hold an edge and won't cut anything at all. So I upgraded to the SOG.

I carry my Benchmades, wouldnt have it any other way. I have a 942 partially serated, and a 710 non serrated. I have friends that carry CRKTs, and Spydercos, and Gerbers etc. After pushing mine, and pushing theres, I would never trade my benchmade for anything. Be like paying off a BMW, and trading it in on a Ford escort... you already own a benchmade dude, why downgrade ? I inherited my uncles knife collection when he passed. Lots of swiss army, US military, S&W etc... my benchmades are by far my favorite. My 942 is an absolout gem. PERFECT edc knife. Not too big, just big enough, perfect blade shape and thickness, good blade material, axis lock.. and by far the smoothest knife I have ever handled when broken in. My 710 is also a phenominal knife, but the size of it can make it a bit intimidating in the wrong situations (good if you need it though) and the D2 really is a huge advantage. Anyway, good luck, my .02 but i would never downgrade and move away from benchmade if youve already bought one. Those H&Ks are real nice, but maybe try a good blue class? I also had a black class automatic that was a dream, but i gave it to a military buddy before his tour, before I could really use it for more than a few months.

BTW, I also EDC a surefire L4, and have a G2 LED in the Jeep.

those M16s CRKTs are nice knifes. I own one myself, and so do 3 of my friends. Deffinatly is fun to play with, but every single one of us has had issues with the liner lock wear out, and locking all the way over. Not good if you need to trust the lock in a bad situation. other than that the knife was good, just keep an eye on that lock. Should always lock dead center of the blade tang.

BTW, pick, you know benchmade has that lifetime warranty and lifesharp. $5 for shipping and handeling, and they will inspect your knife, fix any issues, and re-sharpen it to a factory edge free of charge. I managed to snap a blade in half of a black class, and it was replaced free of charge. Also had some work done on my 942, no questions asked.

good luck again.

I carry 2 smith and wesson folding knives, one Ka-bar TDI fully serraded (like tinys), a Boker auto, and a black JEEP folding knife as backup for the others in my duty bag. oh I almost forgot about the CRKT survival knife attached to my roll bar in my jeep, and the Gerber hidden in my duty bag special sewn in sheath.

lookin at gettin a SOG and a Cold Steel blades here soon too.

Cold Steel are nice. I've never had trouble with my CRKT and I love it. Never heard about issues with the lock.

ya I can't wait till I get that cold steel one I've heard really good things about them

But I think out of all the ones I carry right now I would have to say my boker has been the best knife. I love having an auto.
