Oh yes, Jeeps and guns go hand in hand. I own 4+ handguns, 3 shotguns, 1 revolver, and 2 rifles. I live about 15 minutes north of Mexico in the US side and auto theft is quite common. I carry especially when the top and doors are off even though wranglers aren't vehicles of interest for theft since they look for vehicles with a solid foundation to bullet proof.

There are a ton of jeep stolen in California every year that never come back. There are even a few threads on here like "My Rubi was stolen".
I would say as close as you are you are either lucky or good. Don't fool yourself you can't find a better vehicle for hauling bales across the rio grand. LOL

Yup, they target suburbans, hummers, and big pickup trucks. Here is a truck that was recovered on the US side of the border which has now been donated to a local police dept.

Apparently this truck was stolen from the US, brought into Mexico, got a facelift and went out for battle. Crazy people out here. They bullet proofed the engine bay, fenderwells, doors, bed, etc. The local police dept said the top speed on this bad boy is roughly 55mph.

captain ahab already answered your question. because it wasn't JK specific. even if it was, most of these threads quickly derail, so they get put here. in off topic.

Question Poll: Jeeps and guns

Do you have a firearm habit as well as a Jeep addiction? How do the two intertwine? Some say they go together like peas and carrots; others, water and gasoline. We are all in the Jeep family, a diverse one at that. It doesn't matter if you have never even touched a gun or are carrying 3 on your person right now. You could be a Jeeper and a hunter, sport shooter, survivalist, or just believe in the constitution and 2nd amendment. Take the poll and see how many Jeepers also love their guns.

I see you are in Newton. I am in the Wichita area, so you probably know my point of reference as far as malls. Do you ever do any wheeling around KS or get together with any forum members? I have trolled through the KS forum but it seems pretty slow over there.

I've got a few of both and leave it go at that. Guns and Jeeps are natural combinations. I like my Jeeps as clean and ready to go, as I do my guns. Unfortunately, the last few years has made filling up my Jeep less expensive than filling up my guns.

For some reason, they moved the thread. I posted on the other one but I wanted to be represented so here goes.... 2 Jeeps and 11 guns. I love old Colt-style revolvers but Remingtons are good. I also have some newer technology floating around. Anything that goes 'bang' and rings a gong is fine with me.

One can not have to many guns. Fortunately I live in a state that allows me to own, carry and use as many as I see fit.
I feel sorry for those who live in an area where you have to hide the fact that you possess or use a firearm for sport or personal protection.

I find my Jeep habit cuts in to my addition to my collection of guns and ammo. I haven't found the balance yet.

I'm a retired Police Officer. (NYPD) I have a "few" firearms and enjoy shooting. Like so many of my fellow officers we believe that every law abiding American citizen should have a firearm. I know we are not supposed to get overly political on here, but it is a travesty that so many "Americans" would like to see the second amendment removed. Most are simply uninformed and sadly it is the uninformed that will suffer the most.
