Thank you for your service and I couldn't agree more. I am in Kansas, and fortunately many are like-minded here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though, and the ability to voice it is another thing that makes America great.

Been an outdoorsman and avid shooter my whole life. My wife and I compete in registered Sporting Clays and we have CCW permits. And love our Jeep!

"So many "Americans" would like to see the second amendment removed" is such a GROSS EXAGGERATION that it's laughable.

Spent my youth in the Marines. Retired cop. Now a firearms instructor. ALWAYS a hunter. Yes, there have been a few (ahem) rifles, handguns and shotguns in the Jeep... Of course! Jeeps and guns have gone together from the inception of the brand. I find the Jeep to be pretty much a perfect hunting vehicle!

Regards, CW

Unless you want to carry openly in public.. Glad I left there. Not anything close to gun friendly..

If I had a choice I'd never visit a state that prohibited open carry, Uncle Sam doesn't usually allow me to choose where I go though. :/

SHHHH don't tell them that. Their egos cant handle the truth!

They actually think they are on the forefront of the 2nd amendment movement. They haven't even passed a nullification law yet. I think most Texans are just wanna be Austinites

Never owned a gun. Never plan to own a gun. Won't allow a gun in my home. Never seen a real gun. Have a giant peace sign tattoo'd on my back and a giant peace sign spare tire cover on my Jeep. I pretty much march to the beat of my own drum.

Lighten up... I'm sure that he didn't mean it factually and considering the fact that he is in NY, it very well might seem that way based on his demographics.

Its good to see LE who vocally respect the constitution and understand how vital it is in a republic. Being an LEO he is fully aware that the government (police) have no duty to protect and has seen firsthand the consequences of the good guys not being adequately prepared for the scumbags that walk amongst us.

Yeah, what's with that? Went on a backpacking trip in Big Bend NP in 2012 and (wisely) researched carry laws in TX, as I always do. Since GA enjoys reciprocity with TX I figured it was just a pro forma exercise when I started, then was shocked to find that technically, if the wind blew my shirt up while I was hiking through the desert, I was in violation of the law. Who knew? What a silly rule.

Well, good for you for owning it. I know how it feels -- I'm a conservative (and pro-2A gun enjoyer) who is also an avid cyclist, writer, literature lover, and art critic. Any time I go on any of the forums for those pursuits I feel about like you do in this thread.
