Always. Girl, Jeep, gun is quite the combo. I'd say lots of extra points.

Jeeps and guns go hand in hand. I picture someone that wants a 4wd/AWD and are anti gun or don't like/own guns driving Subaru's, but I guess there exceptions to both.

That's a good thing, seems every vehicle I see loaded up with anti bumper stickers is almost always a Subaru.

I have a Mini-14 as well. I have the ATI folding stock so that one really blurs the lines.

When I just got the jeep and learned about forums I did a write up of why I carry guns when we go out. To make a long story short we were going from Barstow to Vegas in my buddy's speed jeep Cherokee and one night came across something that didn't look right at first we approached to give a hand to what looked like two surburbans having issues. Well a gun fight broke out between us and the people of the two vehicles. We speed off while shooting and they chased us in one vehicle after we got some space we pulled out long guns and changed their minds about chasing us. Later when we got back home and was showing the wives the bullet holes my neighbor that's a pilot for the police came over and got to talking. He told me that drug traffickers land planes on the dry lakebeds here in so Cali and transfer them into big SUVs. More than likely that's what we ran into because they use full auto weapons.

Great day at the range today. My wife caught up with a childhood friend on FB. We met him and his 11 year old son at the range. The boy didn't like the kick from his 243 and they didn't bring the .22 so I let him shoot the one we had. Then he saw my SCAR 17 and went nuts. (He plays COD). I told him he could shoot it and we made his day!

I have run into ex cons on the outside a lot down in ny city when I go to visit. My wife's ultra liberal and anti gun family has grown to accept and her mother even appreciate s the fact that I carry everywhere.

I firmly believe that a armed citizen is a much safer citizen. I also believe that owning a gun as a collector or a cool toy is one thing and carrying and owning for self defense is a lifestyle choice and more importantly a lifestyle change. If you don't train you can be a danger to yourself and others.

Bump in the night your wife freaks out and you do what comes natural. Wife calls 911 (even better she calls 911 with a glock in hand) you grab your shiny arsenal sgl31 and go out into the dark of your house to get your kids. Would you rather have a couple hundred rounds from a bench, or do you want a 50 3 gun matches and different training schools under your belt to protect your family.

The meaning of this rant. It's been proven you fight how you train and sadly gun owners and many in the Leo world overlook this or forget about it. Complacency
