i have at least fifty, a couple bayonnets from civil war and world war, a sword, some crazy fantasy knives, and a lot of antique pocket knives, winchester, barlow and so on, hunting knives, skinning knives.

this is starting to sound like forest gump with knives. thats all i got to say about that.

hey, can you get me a nice all around knife. i love to cook, and its hard to find good knives. you can buy an expensive knife, and it doesn't mean it works good. i found one i like, and it works good, but it doesn't have those grooves, and when i chop things like onions, they stick to the knife.

hook it up brotha

Alot of companys sell those style of knifes. That one probly cost a pretty penny im sure. I used to work at a reasturant and some of those chefs had as much money in knifes as I have in the motor of my mustang

ya no kidding. i'm hoping he can recommend a normal priced knife thats worth while. i've bought some 80 dollar knives that suck, its hard to tell what knife is gonna be good or not, for 100 bux i should be able to buy one fairly universal knife that works well.

they have different knives for everything, i don't need all that.

I payed $100 for this one a ways back, but I have since seen them on ebay from wholesalers for as little as $60.

Its a Calphalon Katana Series 7" Santoku, and honestly its what I use for 90% of my knife work. It and a nice diamond steel to keep it razor sharp is all most people would ever need.

There are some bad things about guns tho tinny.
1- they jam
2- they run outta bullets
3- not very useful close combat.

Knives---
1- Never jam
2- never run out of bullets.
3- They are your friends that keep on giving.

Here's the two that travel to and from work with me every day, my Santoku and matching parer. Anything more specialized I'll bring as needed.

True also if you have never heard of the 15 foot rule

It means a guy with a knife drawn will be able to stab you faster than you can draw your pistol IF IT IS HOLSTERED. If it isnt and pointed at the guy with the knife....Well there will be a different outcome

In a civilian combat situation, the odds of the person being attacked knowing the assailant has a knife is minimal. Also, guns are normally used as a show of force, to menace, where as a knife is usually used specifically to do harm. If someone chooses to attack you with a weapon, you will be injured. It is your reaction to that attack and ability to avoid a wound center mass that is the key to survival.
