Proud of my son

Yesterday on our drive to church, a nice line of jeep was going by. My son who I had know I idea had been listening to me when I call them TJ, YJ, JK, CJ etc... Just out of the blue goes starts calling them out. And getting them right. This was a very proud moment for me. Ranks right up there with him being born.

First response my wife made when he started calling the jeeps out was.. "Oh great now I got to hear it from him too."

good for him! I can tell he will be a proud Jeep owner in the future! Now, you just have to teach him not to forget to wave!

He already knows about the wave. He waves already.

It would be even more impressive if he wasn't 27 years old.

My six year old waves like mad, and told me this weekend that when he grows up he wants to have a two-color(tub & top) Jeep convertible, just like mine.

I know. I laughed pretty hard when I read it.
But that was one of those questions that was going to come up.

Nice!

I had a similar moment at a cruise in last weekend with my daughter. I love detailing vehicles, and it shows on my rides. Sitting at a cruise in with me, she looked at a YJ next to her and says "That poor paint, I feel so bad for it!" It was a 94 with very neglected paint.... Granted she's 14, but I was so proud of her for even noticing... she only went with me so I wouldn't have to go alone, she really has very little interest in vehicles unless they are extraordinary, or have a great sounding exhaust. I feel bad for her future boyfriends, since she was ragging on some kid with a V6 Camaro at the show..... That's my girl!

He deserved it. A V6 "camslow" as a friend of mine would say.
Kids are awesome.
