Question for the Girls

My girl just got home from the Salon today and mentioned her hair cut was $150.00. I sat down and gasped. Is this normal for a womens hair style or do I have to visit the salon to have a talk with them

Depends on her stylist. I've paid $80 or more, but I'm mired in the need for new hardware for my Jeep, so I don't pay for haircuts anymore No, kidding, actually, my hair's so long, I trim it myself, so it's been a while since I went to a salon, but I paid a lot when I did.

Hope you made her think that gasp was cuz she looked so good or you're in the dog house again.

OK I guess since I lost my hair I just got a 30 dollar clippers and shave my head (haven't payed for a haircut for about 10 years now)

Of course I don't think fast enough to conceal my gasps took me an hour of "I really like the new look" to get her to talk to me again. She definitely looks good with it, not to say she didn't before. Well I'm going to stop while I'm ahead.

I know, don't remind me. Railroad has destroyed my sense of tact in life and I suffer everyday because of it, lol

By the way, she probably included the tips in the price. You have to tip the shampoo girl and anyone else who managed to touch your head while you're there..... *snicker*..... you better do something great in the next few hours

She is just playing a computer game ATM, We are headed to the trails tomorrow to walk the min pins and let the beagle track a bit. If I come up missing the Jeep goes to my nephew.

Well, if you weren't already in the doghouse, I would point out that spending $150 on a hair cut translates to you spending at least that much on your jeep...

Or you could really show her and spend twice as much......Not necessarily the safest course but one course of travel none-the-less.

These guys are trying to get you killed Odhinn. Or at the very least, sleeping alone for a while...... but I say spend the money then look her in the eye and act hurt when she doesn't notice how good the Jeep looks.

She said I was obsessed with Jeeps. Amazingly enough I am out of the doghouse already. I am not going to ask why and just enjoy the time. I developed an art of slipping in new parts and mods under the radar. I show her after they are installed and she usually likes What I do. Now I just need to get her into jeeping and all will be cool.

Dare too late on the limit I went over the 150 dollar mark the first day I got it. lol

You're out of the doghouse?!? If I came home with a $150 haircut, I'd be sleeping in my jeep!

If I pay to get my hair trimed, it's $16, including the tip. Most of the time, I do it myself. Waist-length hair with bangs, not hard to do. Though, it does feel good to have someone else fuss with my hair every now and then...

boy am i glad I shave my head, I havn't seen the inside of a hair salon in 3 years. I know my girl has had a few 150 hair cuts, but that was the works, the hair color, eyebrow wax, shampoo, style, and my favorite the 'bikini wax' I didn't mind a whole lot after that last part

I'm not much help here....yes, I've spent that much at the salon: I work, my money and you bet I expect "notice" when I walk in the door.

It's just different at my house....Frank & I usually alternate the mods, I will admit the last few have gone on my Jeep.....it's his turn now (he was talking new drive shafts last night) and of course he has to repair the pinion bearings in his diff.

Things are so much easier when you & your significant other are Jeep crazy.....well sorta

I have to coordinate money issues in this house, I am the only breadwinner here with my girl and my now retired Dad along with the three dogs. Essentially my house is full and we have no kids lol. I'm so glad my mother taught me the ways of saving and redirecting cashflow. I always seem to find a way to get mods, it may take time but I seem to find a way.

The reason that womens haircuts cost so much is..........they know that the women will pay for it. Talk about ridiculous........that is also the reason that womens perfume cost so much more than mens........they know that women will pay for it. What an irony.

thought I was the only paranoid one here

I was using "therapeutic communication" technique on you.
You know we nurses take a few psych courses.....just enough to play with your mind

Support & encourage her, it's important. I'm about to graduate again and Frank has been my rock.....goodness knows it hasn't been easy

btw, I've seen the knuckle drag response before

I do encourage her and help her as much as I can as we are both back in school. I am in psyc and history atm but am about to eject my professors. They seem to be teaching opinion and not fact (letting the kids learn to think for themselves that is). I think one of my profs hates me simply because I have more life experience then him, lol. In fact most of the people in my class are very young and impressionable. Just wait till next semester when I take US Government.

As an "adult" student I have decided college is a money making scam and to get the degree, one must play the game. I don't like doing that but it's a means to an end.....and they make up the rules.

Yeah I definitely agree on that point. Just like most things in life, adapt, get finished, then hash out the details. I am currently holding a 3.9 GPA and my girl is at 3.5 so adaptation has occurred I just get frustrated easily. I guess anger management is in order
