RBNM's Running Adventures

I'm running a half marathon.
Not my idea. It is my moms birthday present, it was this or get her a present, what do you think I chose.

Here's a blog about my running, I just made it today and put a post about yesterday. I am going to be updating it all the time (probably ever 2 days), I could use some motivation and tips. I come from a running family and I do run a lot... but never 13 miles.

Like I said, I could use a lot of motivation, kick my ass into gear (no I'm not chubby, it's called being lazy). I could also use tips, I know there are some runners out there.

*On the right side of the blog, there is "FAQ", it should answer most of your questions about what is going on and my situation.

That is great! Do you know the breathing technique where you breath every other right step? So you take a breath on the first right step and then exhale on the 3rd right step, and so on and so forth. Its hard to explain but it helps a lot with distance running. I would look up for a better explanation.

If you run at all you should know no big gulps of water just sips, eat some bandannas before the run, dont run on a full stomach, dont clench your fists while you run, keep your head up while you run, and if your running up a hill dont look up the hill imagine it is flat (dont ask me why it works but it does...). I was a Physical training monitor for my Unit for a while a lot of this help some of my people.

Hope this helped. Good luck

lazy you say. on that note you should run about 50ft or around the 1st curve. fake a cramp in your leg. when no one is looking jump in the jeep that you have hiden in the bushes. drive down the dirt road and wait until some of the runners have past by and pour a bottle of water over your head then run with heavy breathing over the finish line. yeah that will work

good luck with the run

good idea, except I don't have a Jeep and I can't take shortcuts at marathon time lol.
I'm updating the blog tonight after my run
