I used to have a nitro hpi savage with integy piggy back shocks and jumbo kong tires. I had I bunch of upgrades on it. It had enough clearance to drive over a pepsi can.. I ended up selling it and getting a traxxas slash which I regret.. Not nearly as strong as a savage and I broke one of the front hubs pretty fast. I've got a tamiya mini copper which is pretty cool. It's fwd. And just resently got a nitro 4wd nitro buggy.

I had a traxxas Ken block rally car, but sold it. I have an rc jet boat hull that I was going to put a brushless motor into, but I'm too lazy to do that right now.

i always wanted to get a crawler, i just never really had the time to invest in it again. my friend has 2 pretty sick ones. the first one he has is an axial scorpion, if my memory serves me right. mostly made out of custom fab parts and such. and the other is a completely built from scratch custom scale f150, with his own designed suspension. its dual spring setup where the stiffer spring is on the inside acting like the strut/shock and the softer one coiled on the outside. the acticulation is unbelievable. i mean hes in school to be an engineer, im not surprised lol.

How heavy is it because I thought it would just bounce around if you used diff lock..

I had a bunch when I was a teenager. Started with the original Tamiya Blackfoot. I had a Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin, Tamiya Frog, Tamiya Hilux, Tamiya Bullhead, Tamiya Fox, Traxxas Sledgehammer, Bolink road car, Kyosho Ultima. The Bullhead was barely used and I just sold it a couple years ago. The Hilux was the fastest offroader I had. I don't remember the motor I put in it, but it wasn't cheap. It would destroy my buddy's Associated RC-10 buggy. The Bolink road car was said to be capable of almost 60mph the way I had it set up, but I never measured it. It would outrun the radio signal pretty quickly, I do know that. Had to put a fail safe on it so when it lost signal, it wouldn't take off.
I've been wanting to get another to mess with. A lot of the Tamiya 4wd buggies can be had pretty cheap these days. Maybe the new Super Blackfoot.

I like the nitro stuff, but I have 2 full size toys to blow money on and that nitro stuff is expensive!!

I'm still debating over getting an axial honcho. Looks like a cool scale crawler.

I was excited when I saw the 1/16 summit. But was disappointed to find out it was just a raised mini erevo. No locker or anything.

I was thinking the same thing. But I ran across a deal on a Summit on Craigslist. Really, really glad I got the Summit. A really good basher and a really solid crawler in the same truck. Well worth the money.

So far I have been impressed with its crawling skills. Its certainly not a comp rig by any means, but what a great truck to have for fooling around your yard with the kids or out in the woods.

Traxxas emaxx. Dual motors, dual batteries, aftermarket steel driveshafts, piggy back resivior shocks, 4wd, 4 wheel independent susspention, spools front and rear, aluminum skid plates, wheely bar, and titanium tie rods. You know, all the goodies. Sad thing is I had this b4 my jeep and I could lift my jeep for the cost of what's in this thing. Still fun tho

I have a Revo that I want to sell - tired of the Nitro tuning mess.
Want to get an Axial "Wraith" and either a Slash or a Blitz so I can harass the dog.

Get the Summit, then you can crawl AND harass the dog. Plus it's a Revo underneath, so it's easy to mod.

So we're now looking at adding the e-revo brushless to the collection. I blame my kids for this.

I have and race the following classes for offroad racing:
Losi SCTE 4x4 Corr and HB D8 (Escale Conversion)

I used to have a Venom Creeper (rc Crawler) but the track we crawled at more people were doing the offroad racing, so I got hooked on that after trying a couple vehicles.

Blew up the front diff in my Summit bashing through the cow pasture behind our house.

The scale may be smaller, but the parts cost as much as a 1:1 car!

Well...okay, fine. If I blew up the diff in my Jeep it would cost more than $29 shipped to fix it...

Scored an ERBE for Christmas off the mrs. The thing is insane, 60-70kph at the moment without breaking a sweat. It's pretty sweet cranking along at 60 on 3/4 throttle, then punching it and seeing go up on the back wheels.

They're plenty versatile too. You can lower the suspension, put some street tires on you have a 1/8th scale drifter/road racer, or put some long travel shocks and have a high clearance monster truck.
