real nice watch

so ive decided its time to buy a nice watch. ive got a fairly good collection of fakes. spend a little time over seas and you cant help but run across them. most of them keep good time but im ready for a good watch. had a girl once tell me a mans wardrobe doesnt mean anything but the watch says alot.

i really want a breitiling but not sure if im ready for that kind of money. (2grand for a cheap one 17 grand for the one i really want).
my favorite knock off is a decent copy of a tag heuer carrera. keeps perfect time and has the automatic wind. only thing i dont like is that the dials arent nearly the same as a real one. and there is no timer.

im leaning toward a tag heuer formula one or an oakley( very nice watches)

any one have a favorite watch or suggestion on a good place to get an authentic lightly used or new?

I've had my Tag (Link) for 7 years now and it has been flawless. I also bought a diamond Tag (Link) about 5 years ago and it has also been trouble free other than a battery.

The only thing you need to keep in mind when buying a Tag is if you ever do have a problem you must send it back to Tag Heuer. They have a factory repair facility in New Jersey I believe which makes it easier than sending it overseas.

good to know. I know tags are fantastic watches. id really love a breitling airwolf( im an airplane junkie, 9 years in aviation) but the low end one with rubber band is 3 gs. im looking under 1 but only if i can talk the wife into it.

I believe mine was around $ 4k when I bought it and my wifes was $ 5k. The prices have come down a bit since then. Also, don't forget they'll haggle on the prices!

Yea, I was forced to buy a real watch when I started my EMT class. Felt odd having something on my arm. I hate having stuff on my body I think I should be a nudist....JK

Lol, I was trying to figure out what you were talking about. The one you linked to is the one they had up when I posted the link.
I didn't notice they change watches each day

I am a big fan of Bulova's. Not as pricey as a Tag, but are drop dead reliable, garunteed to hold time up to the minute during the warranty period, and look real nice. I have had two. Bought one around 2003, and the other around 2005. Both are still kicking and going strong, with the exception of the battery on the first that was changed about 2 years ago. They both have some "scratch proof" face, that literally won't scratch lol.

This is the second, I forgot what the first was (Gave it away):

wife showed up in saudi today and she brought my new watch with her. and all i can say is wow. this is a very nice watch and that picture doesnt do it any justice. the titanium bracelet and case are stellar. the alarm is loud the face is classy looking but doesnt sacrifice any function. chronograph, alarm, dual time zone and the perpetual calender are awesome. ill be wearing this one for a long time.

My last one flew off my wrist while I was in the back of the ambulance with a patient. Then I lost the ear piece on my cheapo stethoscope few mins later. It's a tight stethoscope so that metal tube going into my ear really hurt. =(

I think it's a sign...
