Jesus christ no offense. I understand most people here are pro military. but we live in a free country. If someone wants to wear a usa flag on Cinco de mayo fine. If someone wants to celebrate japanese xmas or whatever it was on december 7th fine. You can't expect to be able to wear a us flag on cinco de mayo and consider it unrude then try to hate on japanese for doing whatever they were. Thats called discrimination. imo both are rude and uncalled for. thats not what this nation is about.

NOPE thats an official celebration of mexicos victory over the French in a battle over 150 years ago, we want respect of our history, but the wearing of american flags on that day was DISRESPECTFUL and those juveniles shoulda been EXPELLED !!!

If you want respect---you show respect !!

"ya gotta have class"

i wonder how people would feel if i showed up to watch the 4th of july fireworks with a union jack shirt on. or a german or japanese flag shirt on veterans day. or a christmas parade with a church of satan shirt. or......

you might say "it's my right", but how would you feel about it? i'm the first one to say people have gotten too sensitive, but like jimbo said, to get respect, you have to give respect. if this were not 5 white kids doing it and if they wore these outfits on a regular basis AND if this school did not have a large latino population, maybe it wouldn't come off as such a huge coincidence. with your freedoms comes responsibility. many people seem to overlook that.

and just TRY that stunt in mexico, or any other country where the tolerance for expression isn't quite so high as it is here. you might get "sent home" alright, in a wooden box.
