Recall Elections

Should major state and federal officials be subject to recall elections? The recall is a means to remove officials who have not had the best interests of their constituents in the execution of their duties. Up untill recently, with the recall of Gray Davis in California, state and federal officials have been exempt from this type of action from their constituents. Only local officials have been sucessfully recalled from their positions.

Isn't it time to hold our elected officials accountable to looking out for the interests of their constituents?

As you can probably tell, I am mad as H3LL about the fact that our "repersentatives" no longer represent OUR interests. They have ties to big business and political allies that supercede the interests of the citizenry of this country.

I would like to see every elected official be subject to this process, where the people of this country get some of the power back, to be able to toss these bums out if they are not doing what we elected them to do.

What say you???

I think you need to get into politics. You seem to be one the few Americans that has a clue about what's going on in America.

As for recall elections, I'm for them. If they don't our best interests in mind, why should we have to wait until the next election to get rid of them?
