Remove fender flares?

I was searching around and couldn't find anything about removing the factory fender flares. I imagine it looking cool with mud tires and think that it would add some clearance. Has anyone done this and have a picture? also I will invite you to post pictures of Fender cutouts...they are relevant to my curiosity.

I removed mine front and back, then modified the front fender with a sawzall before going to MCE flatties. Gave some additional clearance. In fact I clear 33x10.50s with only a 1.25" body lift and 3/4" front spacer. Check out my build in my signature for pics.
