running a marathon for the leukemia and lymphoma society

hey guys and girls, i just wanted to take a second and put this out there.

On May 6, 2007, I will be running the Flying Pig Marathon here in Cincinnati, OH to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. There are many people who are, in some way, affected by blood cancers. A few facts:

- An estimated 785,829 Americans are living with blood cancers.
- Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20.
- Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is the 6th most common cancer in the U.S.
- The overall five-year survival rate of someone with Myeloma is only 33% as of 2002.

I will be running in honor of the many who suffer from blood cancers. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Please follow the link below to make a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. And if you could, send a link to my site to others who may be interested in donating.

Everything helps. You can't donate to much or to little.

I don't know how I missed this. Good for you!! I run for Cysitic Fibrosis every year. I'll spread the link to my gym buddies.
