So there I was on my way home for thanksgiving with the family, when what happens on the highway far from any tools, friends, or anyone I know that could help. That's right the old YJ started sputtering and dies. So as I'm sitting there thinking "wow this is going to cost about a million bucks to get towed from way out here" what do I see, a wrangler driving up the access road crawling through the ditch just to pull up and apologize for not being able to stop in time and having to back track to help. So he hops out of his YJ asked what it's doing I explain and he says "pop the hood lets take a look." Next thing I know he's elbows deep in engine compartment and I'm the key turner. Turns out its the pressure blowback hoes from the fuel filter taking all the pressure and not letting my pump push fuel to the carb. So we get it plugged then he proceeded to follow me about 40 miles down the road to make sure it's going to run fine the rest of the way home. We stop check it and everything's fine so he gives me his number incase anything goes wrong he can come out and help me again. I get home with no further problems and go to give him a thank you call just to find that I left a digit out of his number when I took it down. So here's to you mister "go completely out of your way to help a total stranger make it home for thanksgiving", I doubt you'll ever see this but I wanted to say that there is soldier with a very happy family (thanks entirely to you) who is in your debt.
