Scale modeling

Well, since ccain has posted on such an interesting subject, lets see what we all have. I'm enjoy doing scale WWII planes for relaxation. Did it up to about age 13 or so then started back up last year. Here's a couple for you, 1/48 scale (1/4"=1'). Every one post up.

This was for my dad

Hey Keg... THOSE ARE AWESOME!

I really really like the fact that the Tempest, the P-51A and the P-47 all have German markings! That is uber cool! I always liked the thought of captured equipment. Very nice detail! You rock!

Thanks. Sorry, it's a Typhoon. Almost can't tell the difference though.

Google Zirkus Rosarius and you'll find tons of info on captured allied aircraft used by the Nazi's. All three of these are modeled from real aircraft althought I have to modify the Typhoon, I used the wrong variant.

This is in the works... ~1/8 scale Jeep rock crawler... oh, and it's going to be radio controlled.

OH, and the axles have CHROMOLY one piece spools.

Did you do the welding? Awesome rig, I thought about investing in an RC crawler.

I got the main frame section from a friend and welded up the rest with the help from my uncle... I don't have our welder any more.
