I'd say you could go but I have a 14 year old that would cut the brake lines on my Jeep.

Nice work bro. I saw AIC a couple years back and no matter who's singing it's not the same as Lane Staley. Jerry Cantrell does a couple good songs for them now and the new guys does give it hell.

It's a good show and you more than likely won't be disapointed.

Definately going to miss seeing Layne up front but I've heard DuVall is doing a pretty bang up job. I'm just really glad I'll be able to hear the songs live one last time. I'll get to somewhat relive the 90s tonight...

I agree. When I saw them a couple years ago they were opening up for Kid Rock and Cantrell did all the vocals. It was awesome hearing AIC songs again live. I still feel they would've been bigger than Nirvana had Layne not taken the plunge to the dead side. AIC is probably my favorite band of all time.

wow... thats cool. SHould be a pretty good show. I didn't know alice in chains kept it going after Layne died. kindof like the Who without moon. Saw an AIC show at the moore theater promoting during their face lift days. Jerry can sound alot like layne so I can see why theyd still tour... they should really retire that band name though cause I think of AIC as Layne and Jerry's band.

They did go on hiatus after Layne Staley died but got together a couple of times to do benefit shows with various front men. Now they have a guy named William DuVall taking up lead vocals for the two man harmony parts.

I'm STOKED!!!

Yeah, he does a pretty damn good job on the old songs and actually sounds much like Layne did before he got completely strung out. I was fortunate enough to see the the very last concert that Layne Staley ever performed with AIC. It was in KC sometime in July of either 96 or 97 if I remember rightly.

Absolutely awesome frigging show. AIC was incredible! They played most of their hits and Slash came out and played with them on a song. Then VR came on and did a lot of Guns n Roses and STP songs (very cool). I left before the end of the show but not before a truly bad ass acoustic version of Patience.

Nice. Good to hear they all still put on a good show. Funny that Weiland out lasted Staley though.

No kidding... I thought it was the drugs that made him flail about the stage like he did.

...he still does it sober. Dances like a drunk sailor in high seas.

Angry Chair is probably my favorite, or the whole Dirt album.
