I bought two lbs sun, one in the fridge which was used for spaghetti sauce earlier. I forgot to move the other from the freezer to the fridge. Needed some tonight in a pinch but then thought it would be a bad idea and got pizza.

Easy meal sounds costly till you do the math.

Go to your "Meat Market" (not the one with drinks) and get the reddest (least amount of fat) roast you see and can afford around here it is about $4 a pound. Should be about 3 or 4 lbs. Get a 1lb bag of carrots a LARGE sweet onion and four or five potatoes the size of your fist.

Wash the meat and than season like you would a steak on the grill. Use the seasonings you like.

Peel and cut the carrots about 1.5-2" long.

Peel potatoes and cut into "bite size"chunks.

Peel and dice onion.
Add maybe a half cup water for juice "gravy" to pour over finished meal when served...matter of preference how much.

When you get home from work..for me about 10 hours after I leave in the am.

Cook some Good Crescent Rolls or biscuits out of the tin...be sure and preheat the oven..higher heat or longer is harder than doing it right the first time.

Save the leftovers...(gravy also)...unless you ate them all!!

A couple days later....

Get 2 of the "ready made pie crusts" lay one in the bottom of a large deep pie pan. Put ALL the leftovers in assuming you have cut the meat/ roast into bite size pieces...gravy also even cold and lumpy...add a cup of FROZEN peas. Add about a half to one cup of your favorite barbque sauce. Probably closer to a half. Put other crust on top put in oven at 350° for one hour....you just made meat pie with the leftovers and have changed the flavor so it seems like a new dinner.

I finally found a good WIFE, but have five grown kids..none of them hers. Some who are now finally starting to understand what it is like trying to raise a family..they ask for recipes also. All the kids liked the Roast potatoes and carrots...the meat pie some do some don't it happens.

I got LOTS of recipes need anything specific?

I learned a trick I wanted to share. If you ever have red punch stains on your countertop, accidentally dump some hot grease on it from the browned ground beef. Takes that red right out.

Just made one helluva chicken dish. Quarter a whole bird, brown both sides in a deep pan. Add sprig of fresh rosemary and 4 cloves of garlic. Sauté Until garlic is golden. Add 1/2 cup of white zin, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes per lb.

Awesome that you get them. My son is 16 and just got a new to him Audi A4 and is quite the ladies man and my daughter is 13 and a heartbreaker sooo, its a rarity that i get to see them more than one weekend a month. I know it may seem wrong but i have the hardest time of it with my son. Im so proud of that kid. He has a job, bought that Audi. Takes honors classes and is playing soccer for FC Portland.

Sounds like you've got a good one on your hands. My son is 5 1/2 and just lost his first tooth about a week ago. He was so scared when his baby tooth came loose that he made his mother let him call me. I talked to him for about 20 minutes. First time in over a year I got to talk to him on the phone.

My daughter turns 3 on Sunday. She got her very own LeapPad 2 for her bday today so she would quit stealing bubba's. she played with it the whole time she was in the car.

On top of having my kids this weekend, I'm detoxing off of a horrible medication. Flushed my remaining pills when I got home. This is not going to be fun. But it is far overdue. I've been having some involuntary muscular movements for a while and tonight I got a tremor in my eyes. I'm just hoping I don't have to check myself into CDU over it.

Thanx. He had a cherokee but apparently that wasnt pimp enough. Hey, atleast hes smart and driving 40 miles one way for soccer practice adds up for a kid. It is a nice car. Little 175hp V-6 thats been upgraded with headers and full stainless exhaust. Lowered, big wheels& tires, and he paid for it himself!!!

They called it at 56 to 15.

Stupid mercy rule. I'm all for sportsmanship but their parents were awful to our kids. Wish we could have reached 70.

I am a lurker on this site; I rarely get internet (i drive over the road) and when I DO get home I am just too busy...so I mostly just search for topics and read what others say about things I want to do to my Liza Jane ( '02 TJ)....but I also just dropped my little shadow off at her mama's house....so I have enjoyed reading this thread. My cookin' is done in the sleeper of a Freightliner, so....its more like camp food than anything....but you ought to get a rice steamer. SUPER quick, and it will cook rice in the bottom, then put some frozed-up veggies on top with a stick o' good sausage and fifteen mins later it is killer. And now, I disappear again. Yay Jeep People!

Oh man i hear ya. I effing hate that crap. No keeping score because we want little jimmy with his two lesbian moms to feel like he contributed to the team.., BULLSHIT!!! Im not raising a friggin pansy, he didnt sign up to make friends. Play to win, AND have fun doing it. I was my boys indoor soccer coach for many years. At half i had a group of parents corner me and ask if my kids could just not score. My reply... My kids paid to play and thats what im lettin em do. Score was 32-0

Lol. I started cheering for them a bit when it was 29 to 2. Then I heard a mom say "take 'em to the ground." My son missed a 3 that went off the rim, she yells "brick!". I looked at him and acted like I was taking gloves off. He got the point.

I just couldn't believe what they were saying. Lady, I was cheering for your kids, you're just being nasty.

Here's a simple tip my mom told me years ago. Sure y'all know it but thought I'd put it up.

Use the dryer sheet from the load to clean the lint basket. Brings it up easily without picking and cleaning the trap.
