It is real. We've been trying to work out a way to do this as a Meet and Greet. Our lovely friend Unlimited has the ability to do the services - ordained just for us - and we wanted to get hitched on top of John Bull and spend a couple of days camping with our favorite people. But with the purchasing of the house, we just couldn't swing it, time or money. Time mostly. Plus, we had a window for the weather for the mountains. That window is closed because it's dang cold up there at night now.
So, in light of this, we are working the plan B. Either November or December we'll make it legal and then work out the "real" ceremony for next summer as a meet and greet.
As for the rings, I'm not much into jewelry, but we have our eyes on a pair of simple sterling silver rings from Dublin.

Oh please, Cain. Here's the real story. I had him in a hammer lock and was trying to make him say uncle. He tricked me by asking me to marry him and I released for a second, but as he spun around to sock me in the face, I accidentally popped his shoulder out of joint.
So, while we were on the way to the dentist to get my front teeth remounted, I shoved his shoulder back in place and said I'd marry him. He said "What?". And I replied, "Too late, you asked me now you have to."
