| So I get home last night....
And the garage is open and my jeep is gone!! I usually take the keys with me because I have a teenager in the house but I stupidly went out leaving them on the counter. He's been pestering me to drive it, and I keep telling him no, I'm weird about my baby and he can drive one of the other cars in the driveway when he gets around to taking the test.
I call him and he doesn't answer the phone at first, but I know he's got the jeep and the phone with him. I keep calling until he picks up. By that time I'm frantic. And he's in a total panic when he answers. I figure ok, calm down, he's alive, now let's see if I have to kill him.
"Mom... your jeep.... I tried to miss the..."
I ask him if he's ok and he says yes but that the jeep is on it's side down the road, totally mangled. He's never driven it before and was going too fast around a curve and when the lion ran out in him after the zebra he swerved out of the way and rolled.... yeah, I said lion.... and zebra..... dang I almost had you guys. It is april first after all.

I don't think he read the last paragraph. But, it's ok, the jeep is salvagable. I'll be able to take the tub off and fit it with a nice hummer body so that the lions and tigers can ride in the back. It'll hang over a little here and there, but I think I can make it work.

There are lions native to California and they've imported zebras. |

Believable story up to the point where you son has to swerve to miss the animals that usually reside in Africa. Good one!!

I think because I've been trying out working on my own rig that they should send the lights to me so I can try out some electrical stuff.
......... but there was an elephant, I swear, and it had little bitty wings and flew like a bumble bee only it didn't make a buzz buzz sound, it made a whump whump sound......

My wife and I left for a trip to New Orleans back when my youngest daughter was just about driving age. No permit, no license. We had some car trouble just after we went through Memphis, so we turned around and drove back 100 miles to get our other car. We get home and no car. No daughter. I suspected that she and a friend had taken it and gone to the movies... her older sister was supposed to be in charge. Couldn't find her either. We went to the theatre and there sat our car in the parking lot. We took it and went home.
Boy did she ever panic when they came out of the movie and the car was gone. Taught her a GOOD lesson. She was grounded until just about two weeks ago. That's been at least 12 years ago!

Good job Dare! Tiny, My wife and I were listening to the fine music you shared, and reading posts... (btw, tigers aren't native to Africa) and were afraid for your Jeep and your son until you got to the lion...(Bad words) Good job, happy fools day

Yeah, but they're so cute in the video how can you not let them live in Africa*?
*there's fossil evidence that saber tooth tigers roamed Africa at one point..... Just thought I'd throw that out there in defense of my favorite video.

Tiny, you have succeeded in getting another song stuck in my head. Thank you sooooo much. But at least its not the Andy Griffith theme song. Had that one in my head for 3 days.

I think my dad would have just hauled me out by my ear, put me over his knee and wailed on my bottom right there in the parking lot.....that's why I never did anything like that! I was a good kid...until about 18.... |

| Earworm, a loan translation of the German Ohrwurm, is a term for a song stuck in one's head, particularly an annoying one. Use of the English translation was popularised by James Kellaris, a professor of marketing at the University of Cincinnati. His studies appeared to demonstrate that different people have varying susceptibilities to earworms, but that almost everybody has been afflicted with one at some time or another. |
