Son bought a Taco

My oldest (24) had been looking for a new vehicle for a few months now. His Dodge is killing him in gas money. So we looked at a JK 2 Dr. Sport, that he absolutely loved, took it for a test drive and I have to admit it drove better then our 2010 JKUR. He's had a pickup since he started driving at 17, an 89 Toyota, 2001 Frontier and now this Dodge 1500. I told him to at least look at a Toyota Tacoma. We did and got a pretty good deal yesterday. He wound up ordering a white access cab, V6 six speed 4X4, pretty base model Those little trucks come with alot standard, power windows, locks a/c, sliding rear window, touch screen stereo. We got it for just over 25 Gs, but like I said we had to order it. I co-signed for him to keep the payment reasonable. Can't find a 6 speed anywhere and he didn't want the SR5 model, so it's gonna take 12 weeks or so. He's pretty stoked. No point just wanted to share, I love buying new stuff, even if I don't actually pay for it LOL.

My dad has had 3 tacomas and a FJ cruiser over the past 10 years. He currently drives a 2012 crew cab v6 tacoma. Its a great truck, but gets about the same gas mileage as my jeep. Hope he isnt expecting 20+mpg.

Congrats to your son. New vehicles are always fun. My 06 DC 4x4 Taco has been pretty trouble free for 140k+ miles. I hope his treats him just as well
