and we are trying do things about this threat, but russia wont let us,

we are trying to set up a missle defense system in Europe to save all the Europeans, but in the process we are creating another smaller cold war, your welcome!!

you cant just invade a country that you know has nuclear weapons and wants to destroy Israel, its a touchy situation

i do agree that we need to pull out of Iraq quickly, its not doing any good,w ea re losing thousands of soldiers with NO end in sight

most coutries here in europe think the only reason for the iraq war is the oil they have.

but don´t forget the people that are involved in that war. they do a great job and i think they really bring freedom to the people in iraq.
and i worry about these people.
most "war experts" in the UNO and the european union talk about a second vietnam. and many of these experts say that in the next 5 years +100.000 people will die in iraq.

i really hope these experts are wrong but i´m still worried about the whole situation.
Nicolas, answer me this. When you wake up everyday do you have to worry about your government killing you today or tomorrow? Isn't that a nice feeling to have? Don't you think that everyone in the WORLD should be able to have that feeling? That is what we are bringing to the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. These people had public elections for the first time in longer than any of them have been alive. Isn't that one of the greatest things you could imagine? Are some of the motives wrong for this war? I would have to say most definitely. However the outcome my friend is the same. We are over there losing our young men and women trying to create a stable environment in a place that has been unstable for 50 years. That is what the strongest nation on earth can do for people.

As far as N. Korea goes. You don't think that we haven't been doing things to get them to cease and desist? The US along with Japan are the largest dissenters of th Nk having nuclear capabilities. We've stepped up our presence in the pacific. We just had an envoy of inspectors leave N. Korea stating that they are finally ready to begin the destruction of their nuclear program. Who has helped that to happen? The US.

Please don't get me started on the UN and Nato as that has to be one of the most F'd up clusters on this great earth. Have you ever wondered why we do things on our own? Why is it that most things are done in the UN because of the USA? Because they honestly have no business being a military organization. The UN does a great job with humanitarian operations. However I WILL NEVER support US Troops being under the control of a foreign commander. Also in regards to what their War Experts say. Do you remember something from history books called the "Civil War" in Amercia back in the 1800's? Or the Revolutionary War back in the 1700's? Untold hundreds of thousands brothers, sons, husbands, and fathers lost their lives so that the USA could stand on it's own two feet. Ever since that time the rest of the world has been leaning on us for support. So as far as the UN's experts are concerned I say PFfffffft F them. Everyone of them has probaby either waged war against us at some point in time or asked for our help in a war at some point in time.

We did nothing to korea? First of all, I have plenty of friends with plenty of PTSD from asian countries.

Second, Last I checked, we had troops and the Navy up Koreas AZZ when they let off those nukes, and threatened them pretty intensly. Atleast, thats what I read/heard from numerous right wing sources.

Im not going to start on the Iraq war, but I do wish people would get their head out of their azz and either: Help out, Stop complaining about it without doing something, giving away tactical secrets to the enemy, or shut up about it. There was a reason for the war, no one wants anyone hurt, and we all have plenty of loved ones sacraficing themselves for us.

Your a good guy nic, I like ya, but your gonna see NUMEROUS pissed off (free)Americans, if you bring up the middle east.

And BTW, the USA gets over 80% of its oil from Canada, so I have a hard time digesting your "oil war" propaganda..

Just a little info about north Korea, I spent 3yrs in south Korea and we are technically still at war with them. a cease fire was signed in the 50's and so far they have held up there end and so have we. Negotiations continue to this day.

Actually they did find such weapons, just not at the concentrations most people, including europeans thought they had before the war, we have friends in the National Guard that helped guard chemical weapon shells while they were in Iraq. More importantly, they found several high ranking Iraqi officials that admit the weapons programs and supplies were shipped to Syria just before the invasion, I have no reason to doubt that.

Yes we do, your news sources may not report it but we have been in constant negotiations trying to stop North Korea and others, we have spent trillions trying to contain them. How much has europe done?
We don't use force because we don't have a legitimate reason for force, we did have a legitimate reason for force in Iraq.
We did not go into Iraq only for WMD's, that was simply the reason most people latched onto to justify it, it was never the only reason.

If that were actually true then most countries in europe are far more spineless than I would have thought.
You're telling me that most countries think we are invading a country, slaughtering hundreds of thousands of people just so we can steal their oil? and yet those european countries haven't got the balls to stand up and stop us? do you really think that your governments are really that cowardly?
Of course they aren't because we aren't there to steal oil and they know it.
we've spent far more on the war than we will ever gain from oil but it makes for a nice little talking point for the liberals to demonize America because most people won't take the time to really think about it.

We never forget.

Another red haring, the only thing Iraq and Vietnam have in common is the way the media is being used by the bad guys to win the war. The spineless media will do anything to make America look bad and destroy moral just like they did in Vietnam. Jus tlike in Vietnam that tactic will only serve to prolong the war and cause more death and destruction but they don't care.
They report constantly on all the deaths but refuse to report on the hospitals we've built, the schools we've built, the infrastructure we've built to bring clean water, clean power, clean food.
Day after day all I hear is how many women and children have died but they refuse to report on the terrorists that are specifically targeting women and children, they aren't evil, we are right?

I am too, we have friends and family there.

I don't think you were trying to insult us, we know what europeans think of us because we have been hearing it for a long time.
Your media is much the same as ours, all it reports is the bad and not the good.

I still like you, I still enjoy your being here and I hope no one is taking this discussion as a personal insult.
